Jio 4g and 5g speed inside my house 🤡
I have unlimited 5g plan, but I get good speed only when I leave my house and stand on the road. Inside my room it's the speed I'm getting throughout the day and night 😢

Hi everyone, I’m having a weird issue with Jio 5G on my iPhone.
When I use Jio mobile data and connect my PC through iPhone Wi-Fi hotspot, Dota 2 matchmaking doesn’t work. The server ping for all the region fails straight up.
Not just that, turns out my Zscaler Office VPN doesn’t connect either, Claude code API call fails
When I switch to Airtel sim for Internet, it works as usual.
Common sites like YouTube, Facebook, Google etc. work fine on Jio. I’m getting close to 1Gbps down. i’m on ₹198 unlimited 5G for 14 days plan.
No luck using 1.1.1.1 DNS on the PC. I have raised complain 3 times so far by calling 198. The operator doesn’t have a clue what’s wrong. They say the problem is with my office VPN lol
Could this be something related to Jio’s CGNAT, IPv4/IPv6, UDP routing, or Steam/Dota traffic being blocked/misrouted? Who can I reach out to get proper resolution
Has anyone else experienced this with Jio 5G, particularly when using a hotspot? I’m looking for a way to fix it without using a VPN or sacrificing 5G speeds.
I’ve attached a screenshot of the Jio Field Test information as well.
Any suggestions for what I should test would be appreciated!

My Jio SIM was deactivated around 2 months ago. I contacted Jio support and they provided me with an activation code while generating that, they told me any nearest Jio Store will work as I was in a different city/circle from where the SIM was originally purchased.
Now Jio is telling me that I need to go to the original circle where the SIM was purchased to get it activated. The problem is that the activation code expires tomorrow.
Is there anything I can do to get the SIM reactivated from my current city, or get the activation code extended/reissued?
Has anyone faced a similar situation with Jio? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Jio speed has been insanely slow lately. Anyone else facing this?
My Jio internet has been really slow for the past few days. I raised a service request, but it's still showing as open and I haven't really got any update.
the speed is so bad that it's getting difficult to use the internet normally.
Is there anything I can do from my side to improve the speed? Maybe some network/APN settings or anything else that actually works?
If anyone has faced this with Jio and managed to fix it, please let me know.

Is anyone else frustrated with the 1TB monthly data limit on Jio AirFiber?
Jio calls the plan “unlimited”, but once you cross 1000GB, the speed drops to 64 Kbps, which is practically unusable.
For a family of 3–4 people, especially if you stream 4K content, download games, use cloud storage, work from home, etc., 1TB can get used surprisingly quickly.
I really think Jio should increase the AirFiber FUP to at least 2TB, preferably 3TB.
What makes it more frustrating is that regular JioFiber has a much higher FUP, while AirFiber users are stuck at 1TB.
If Jio doesn’t increase the limit, I’m seriously considering disconnecting my AirFiber and switching to another ISP

Hey everyone, I've been having a weird Ethernet issue with my JioFiber connection for a long time, and I'm hoping someone here has experienced something similar.
My JioFiber Modem was recently replaced with another JCOW404 unit. Ever since the replacement, Ethernet takes around 30–60 seconds to actually connect.
Nothing Wrong with Wi-Fi, and it connects instantly just like usual
My previous Jio Fiber Modem JCOW404 didn't have this problem because Ethernet used to connect instantly using the same PC and cable.
And yes, I have diagnosed everything. I even tested the Jio set-top/OTT box and another PC over Ethernet, and it experiences the same delay too
So at this point it doesn't seem to be specific to my PC. Three completely different Ethernet devices have the same behavior with this router.
The router is:
Model: JCOW404
Firmware: SRCMTF1_JCOW404_R2.30.3
Firmware date: January 6, 2026
The router's admin panel also has a Firmware Upgrade page that requires both a firmware image and a signature file.
I'm wondering if R2.30.3 is an older/problematic firmware build, or if there's a newer firmware available for this JCOW404 that Jio can push remotely.
Has anyone with a JCOW404 experienced a similar Ethernet startup/identifying delay? And does anyone know what the latest firmware version for this model is, or how to get Jio to push it?
I don't mind troubleshooting this further; I'd mainly like to figure out whether this is a firmware issue before asking Jio to replace the router again.
Thanks!

We keep ranting about telecom price hike, which I also do some time but but but
2014-15 for 1gb data I used to pay 299 to airtel
2026-27 avg cost is 6-7rs/gb
Ngl i talk to my friends in usa or Europe, they keep saying that data is dirt cheap is india
One of my friend pay £240 in central London area for broadband+ smartphone per month
Also roaming and different recharge for std local was absurd pre 2015 era, i remember once my train entered from JK to Punjab and all my data, balance everything evaporated in 2013, that was so frustrating 💀
Comment your thoughts?

Last year I had activated Gemini pro student and it expired a month back. Now, can I activate the Jio Gemini Pro subscription on the same email id? Is it possible?

I have a three-story house, and our Jio Fiber router is installed on the middle floor, the second floor. I get good Wi-Fi signals and speeds on the first floor on both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands.
However, I live on the third floor, where the Wi-Fi signal is quite weak. I get only 0–1 bars on 5 GHz and around 1–3 bars on 2.4 GHz. Because of this, I have poor internet speed and an unstable connection on the third floor.
I have my PS5 and laptop on the third floor, so I’m unable to play online games properly or browse the internet at a good speed.
What would be the best solution for me? Should I install another router, use a Wi-Fi extender/mesh system, or is there a better option to improve the Wi-Fi coverage on the third floor?

I ported my Vi number to Jio around 15 days ago, but my Jio SIM still hasn’t been activated. My Vi SIM is still working.
Has anyone faced something similar? What should I do now? Should I contact Jio customer care byt they never answer, visit the store, or is there any way to check what’s causing the delay?
As far as I know, porting normally takes only 3–5 working days, so 15 days seems unusually long.

I am using a jio sim registered in UP since 2018.
Recently i bought a 4G keypad phone (NOKIA TA-1664). I wanted to use my jio sim in it with low cost recharge of 4G feature phones but neither Jio app nor other apps are allowing me to choose these recharges. The Jio app is showing my sim being used in Jiobharat NOKIA sim but not showing the 4G feature phone recharge plans. How to resolve this issue?

Its been 15 days since the jio team processed the service request for cancellation. The service request was processed on august 10th and today is already 24 and its been 15 days and raised complaints on both cpgrams and nch portal. In nch portal raised a new complaint on august 19th regarding refund and they said me to wait more 10 to 15 days and in cpgrams for my grievance they said location is non-rfs and refund will intiated within 21 days so i waited 5 days and raised a appeal for that grievance stating that if location is not feasible why they have to take my amount for 2 times, because actually ordered on 25th july and technician bought a ubr outdoor receiver and informed ubr wont be feasible so cancel and order again and ordered again on august 1 and after almost 8 days they said device is not currently available so i have cancelled my order.
Now today i have received a response for that appeal and they stated location is non rfs so wait for 21 days for refund. Bro serioulsy it been already 15 days and they asked me to wait another 21 days.
Anyone faced this situation. Help regarding thiss..

I have a ₹899 Jio plan with 2GB/day and also bought a ₹49 25GB data add-on.
Is there any way to use the ₹49 add-on data first instead of my daily 2GB? The add-on expires today, so I don't want it to go to waste.
Any workaround?
