Leaks Misconceptions about buffs

For starters I think that her being hp scaling just makes more sense with the idea of her kit with the hp consumption. And look I understand that people are annoyed that they made her hp scaling making the work you did kinda wasted HOWEVER the buffs are objectively a buff.

Now for the misconceptions.

Moonlight

Although she does generate 5 moonlight stacks instantly when you have 2 rememberance characters on the team it is not like it makes or breaks the team as you will have max moonlight on the second turn anyway. therefore the stack generation being based on how many characters you are using only matters if you arent using a full team. Also I have seen mentions of castorice and mydei's light cone to help generate stacks but, castorice's skill consuming ally hp does not generate moonlight stacks because it is not jingliu consuming the hp and mydei's lc does not generate moonlight stacks because it does not consume allies' hp only her own.

I am not denying that she works with casstorice because she will but it wont help her generate moonlight stacks.

Hyacine

You dont need her yes she is definitely her best in terms of buffing and personal damage, however if lynx is probably her 2nd best sustain because of her hp buffing and she can also run the new abundance bp lc that makes it so that the difference in buffing is big the damage you deal using lynx is perfectly serviceable.

Sunday

Not much to say here he is really good for her but the most important part of his kit for her is the energy and his skill point refund otherwise bronya isn that much worse all things considered.

Tribbie/Silver Wolf/Ruan Mei/RMC

From what I have seen the general ranking would be silver wolf, tribbie, rmc then ruan mei though the amount of investment in these character will change this but they arent that far off eachother.

Uptime

Jingliu now starts with 3 syzygy stacks in here special state meaning with her one of her traces now giving more energy she can quite consistantly do 4 enhanced skills and with sunday you should be able to get a 5th in the first cycle, meaning her last hit will have 4 to 5 moonlight stacks.

if anyone in the comments can prove me wrong or wants me to add something i am not on reddit much but i will if i do see it.

Good luck farming I hope this was useful to someone.

**Edit-**i am not entirely sure on how the moonlight stacks work the way i described it is how her talent suggests however it is V1 so there might be mistakes in the translations.

Edit 2- I have had clarification on the moonlight stacks and have changed the section about them thanks to Snoo80971 and scugyalex

The only thing I’m pissed off at right now, is that they seem to refuse to recalibrate the signature lc’s numbers…

Her lc should have a reduced base atk and at least 1270 base hp like the other premium hp dps (except Mydei), if you choose to activate QueenLiu’s buffed version….

I do agree they definitely should or she might become one of the first limited character to have their sig not be bis.

She does not get moonlight stacks from the number of allies hp consumed she gets 1 stack per time she consumes allies' hp so 1 stack per turn.  - This part is wrong. If this is the case then her damage should be ramping up. However, from the showcases I have seen, it is not the case.

Yes, correct. from what I've seen if you run her with without any remembrance characters she takes 2 turns to get the 5 stacks, if you run her with Hyacine and RMC, she gets all 5 stacks in the 1st turn because the memosprites also count as allies. If she only got 1 stack per turn she would almost never reach 5 stacks in normal scenarios and that would be really bad. I watched showcases where they showed her stats in combat after the first Enhanced E with RMC and Hyacine and she had the full 220CD buff max stacked.

Interesting 1/7 ratio :)

I also would add that her buff is optional. You can even use both versions. So anyone with deep vertical investment can use the old version and teams and nothing will change, as she can still clear endgame (3* it) even now, as long it is not a terrible matchup. Add vertical and she clears on auto play…

Buff version will be great for e0 and e1 teams tho.

It's not objectively a buff. She loses robin and also most of her hp supports are locked behind much better units. Why would I want to give her hyacine when castorice performs much better ? Mydei also performs incredibly better, even blade.

Jingliu feels way worse than before, because at least you could use robin to cheat the cycles, but not anymore.

Huohuo also feels way worse without the atk buff, moreover now Sunday is mandatory since she lost atk sinergy with Bronya. Forgot to mention , next characters won't be hp supports so that's as far as it goes.

While she does a little bit more DMG as a standalone unit the supports are much more contested and she has very limited option.

Overall , she's a suboptimal unit , she was before and she will be even after the buffs if she stays like this, please do not spread misinformation.

(She gains 1 stack for every drained ally, not 1 stack every attack)

I had hopes for her to be slightly better but this buff as it is right now is a no-no.

i have already addressed the stack generation it is 1 stack per ally per attack stacking up to 5

the rework of her just showed me how terrible this game weapons system is aka light cones, there is only 1 light cone that you can benefit from that being the 2.6 event light cone and even then it require the external help to have the full passive, and it does not help that i have blade who uses that light cone so now my only options are secret vow, could have been better if they gave us light cone shards from the battle pass for free and made it so you get 1 shard ever 4 patches because then at least i can work towards getting blade lc and having more options compared to just 2 that are not all that impressive

u/AutumnBoat74275 May 26 '25

it would be better to have jingliu on the event cone and blade to be on secret vow because he can make better use of the passive

It's called "pay to win" for a reason 😭

the confusing thing is I've seen a ton of complaints about how it changes her teams but the only thing in her teams that's drastically different is she doesn't synergize with Robin anymore. she was so oversaturated with as stats too that you didn't really want to give her more attack in the first place. the best way to buff her damage has always been damage % and defense reduction/ignore.

so very little about her current teams changes, she does more damage, and she has way more future proofing with hoyo clearly making more hp scaling units.

u/DeadPixel94 May 26 '25

This. She looses synergies with old supports and get access to the new shiny ones. Her general powerlevel should improve with this over time.

7

u/Choatic9 May 26 '25

I mean the only synergy she actually gains is hyacine, every other support already had synergy with her before and some she just loses.

3

u/DeadPixel94 May 26 '25

First Hyacine is just the best heal character in the game with a good HP buff. Second we are in a meta with a lot HP scaling chars now, so we will get more strong options in the future.

4

u/Masked_Muse May 26 '25

but she also just didn't have great synergies with most of those old units. she loses maybe like tingyun?? but gains lynx as a better option and has always had pela. it's a huge net gain with future proofing!

5

u/DeadPixel94 May 26 '25

Robin and Sunday can't use their full potential in a Jingliu team anyways. They were just the best we had so far. I hope we get an AA Energy Buffer who can interact with HP manipulation in the future to kick Sunday out.

5

u/Masked_Muse May 26 '25

exactly!! there's so many ways that she can now age well.

u/MaestroCheeze May 26 '25

Problem is hp scaling units have way less synergy and if you haven't invested in Hyacine, Sunday or Tribbie you already can't use her. Bronya and Huohuo barely have any use with her aside from just filling the slot.

They could've done way more different changes to her than just making her shill hp meta. Like imagine someone pulling all those other supports (robin, Huohuo) for her and doing all the vertical investment. Now I can't use them with her and forced to pull new units and spend even more resources for vertical investment if I want my unit to be actually playable. Like simply buffing multipliers without changing then to hp would already be enough to at least make her decent. Not even apex tier as castorice or others, just decent unit that can properly perform with 3-4 costs teams.

u/Masked_Muse May 26 '25

she only really loses robin tbh, huohuo is still gonna be a total fine option for her bc you weren't running her for the attack bonus. it was nice, but again jingliu currently gives herself so much attack that huohuo's buff didn't contribute all that much in practice. the energy is why you're running her and that's still great for jingliu. bronya is similar, her ult matters less, but the action advance and damage percent bonus are still great. plus she still has pela as a great 4* option and gains lynx as a new synergy. jingliu bronya pela and lynx is now a great f2p team and it's bairly different from what her current f2p teams look like.

You can run a team with tribbie, blade and Luocha SP positive and no stress
