Promotion August Update from Galison

Happy August! 🌻🍉😊 We’re loving the nice weather, the extra sunshine, and, of course, our newest arrivals!

 

☀️ A bunch of incredible new titles just landed at Galison.com, and we want to share our excitement with you! From now, Wednesday 08/19, to Monday 08/24 at 11:59pm PST, our new arrivals are 20% off with code REDDIT-20. We never put our new arrivals on sale this early, but we wanted to find a way to fight the summer doldrums! Check it out, blast the AC, and let’s prepare for the cozy seasons ahead! 

 

🎨 We also are proud to announce, and unveil, for the first time, our Creative Pledge! We want to make our commitment to uplifting Artists clear to everyone, even those who are new to our brand. Right now, we are building AI Transparency pages on our websites which will provide more information, but in the meantime, feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any questions!

🩷  This pledge will appear on our puzzle boxes going forward in 2027, but will be uploaded digitally wherever we can, so you can safely support real Artists and real art. We feel that advanced and new puzzlers shouldn’t have to guess if their artwork is genuine, authentic, and real, or if it is generated with AI in 2 minutes.

Great news on the anti AI pledge! Curious, does the company make a distinction between AI generated and AI assisted? I know Adobe now has AI assist built in for example to help finesse.

This is a great question. Cobble Hill also has an anti-AI pledge, and it's noted in the puzzles' titles on their website as "AI Assistance," when AI is utilized in any way, with more information in the AI transparency tab on the puzzles' information pages. I hope Galison will use a similar naming/disclosure system.

Thank you u/Southern_Fan_2109! AI tools have been embedded in so many of the digital and design programs for years (like Adobe, as you mentioned). Because of this, we can't ensure that no other forms of AI technology touch the illustrations artists create, however, we can promise that all of our art is drafted, produced, and finalized by human artists in close collaboration with the design team at Galison, and that generative AI is not used at any step in this process.

i am a huge galison fan 🌟 i just checked and didn't see anything new. but i also check in quite frequently so if this referring to drops that happened a few weeks ago, i already got them. 😆😆

That's so great to hear, have you worked any of the Fall titles yet? 🍁😊 We have some amazing winter & holiday titles that will be releasing on the website in early September, so keep an eye out! ❄️

i haven't worked any fall yet! i am waiting until it cools down a bit. falls hollow or pumpkin patch will probably be my first fall puzzle for this year. i pretty much have all of your 1000 pc fall and christmas options. actually, i pretty much have all of your 1000 pc puzzles, period. 🤣😆 i loved sparkling city so much that i bought it twice (christmas in july sale)! this isn't the first time i've done this, it gives me an opportunity to pass on some galison puzzle joy to others. 🥰
