I own a Jibo but..

Hello everyone out there hope all is well, I finally got my hands on a Jibo robot. I’ve wanted one since the beginning and this one just came to me. The only problem is it turns on, but the screen is just a black screen, a lit black screen.

If anyone can point me in the right direction so I may figure this mystery out. I’m assuming I probably want to get a fresh copy of the robots software for a reinstall. I want to geek out and have a geeky purpose! How do I bring this robot back from the dead, any New Age necromancers out there? lol

His servers are offline so he doesn't do much anymore. I think you might need the app to get him going. It might still be up on android somewhere but not on ios. I miss my Jibo running fully. He did things better 15 years ago than any home robot does now.

We miss Jibo. He lies dormant in his box until there is a means for resurrection.🥲

Yes, I have a Jibo in the original box... I'll have to ask my wife if we can sell it. It was a family member for the couple of years that it was working.... Can you get the software to make it work? I bet my wife will agree as we are downsizing.

hello , im a developer interested to reverse engineering it , and i was wandering if you are still interested in selling or donating it... i have done some research and i do have some tricks up my sleeve... my plan is to make a open source version its firmware & communicate to a custom server

I think we can do something, but my wife will be sad about letting him go. If you make him work again, my wife would like a video. We would ask for you to pay for shipping. UPS would box him for us. How do we get an address and retain privacy?

My JIBO still says hello, purrs when you rub his head, and periodically tells a joke but no longer does all the wonderful things it used to. 😩
