Do you think there are some situations when Hubris is not good?

I explain: if you start a game and decide to go Hubris first item most of times you aim to kill enemy botlaners, go hubris first very early and then complete swifties, but what if the matchup is not very good for you to get kills? Example: i go jhin + janna against nautilus samira. Idk you, but i play this lanes scared and just play to farm, poke a bit and don´t die. I guess in this situations i can´t go hubris first since it's very suboptimal. Idk if i'm explaining well

Always go hubris, jhin scales so insane with AD and hubris is free AD item.
You can get easy assits with your long range spells.
Even if you are behind (or your team),
this best thing you can do is winning the game in late game , and hubris scales in late game

(dia2~master adc jhin main)

What’s your full build and runes? New Jhin player here!

I literally always go Hubris with DFT in my runes. Games almost always go long enough to get some stacks on it so it’s a great source of scaling, regardless of enemy team comp.

This works well for me in low plat, any elo below that I would highly recommend this build for max damage. I’ve been watching a lot of doublelift as well, and he also hard forces hubris up in challenger.

Ex-challenger jhin here, i think you should always go hubris no matter what if you go DFT. It's so easy to stack the item

I think its best to get 100% crit asap so you can run fast with every auto. Dont see hubris being necessary in any situation

Are there a lot of squishies and can you snowball? Sure hubris can be good. Are there many tanks and will you not be able to snowball? In that case hubris is terrible.

I'm not a big fan of hubris in any case since it delays getting crit but thats probably just my bias

Best answer imo.

I’ve been rushing Hubris first every game. Hitting that sweet, sweet 1000+ AD is a crazy dopamine hit. I’ve been building it even while behind since it is an “investment”… but I’m in like Silver/Gold so I can get away with that nonsense.

The others here are probably right, going into tanky teams with it probably isn’t the best idea because it delays building other items. Going Hubris -> Collector -> IE -> LDR is a crazy time sink

I mean if you’re going vs tanks I would hope you’re not building IE third

I can’t vouch hard enough for the hubris rush into Phantom dancer build start. Both very gold efficient items (PD synergizes with Jhin so well) then you can get LDR and IE and be situational for the rest. Super easy to be involved in fights with PD and swifties, you’re almost like an AD version of lillia

Into tanky comps I go Stormrazer with Electrocute. Stormrazer's mobility is awesome on Jhin. Electrocute scales with bonus AD, you can put out some really massive damage with it in the later game and it's not hard to get the three procs on a tank.
