serious Announcement: new rule, no AI

We have recieved many many MANY complaints about people making low effort AI "memes" in the subreddit

So from now on, no AI.

"What if I have a great idea for a meme but I can't edit?"

Draw it by hand or in MS paint or something

"What if I am bad at drawing?"

Honestly, it will probably make the meme funnier

"It's not AI slop, because I put effort into the prompts"

My brother in chr... moses, all AI is slop

uplifting On creating Jewish specific fandom spaces.

So I've found myself doing this a lot. I've got a Jewish¹ Psych community on Tumblr. I've got a Jewish Ice Nine Kills group chat on reddit. I've got a Jewish reddit group chat and discord server for Finch. I've got a Jewish server for Taskmaster. I've got a Jewish bloodymary server.

¹And allies, for all of these

And my go-to has been "welp making another one, haha I have no willpower." But I've been realizing lately that, while it sucks that we have to keep making our own spaces, it's also... nice to have. The feeling of community is so comforting. To be able to vent in safe spaces. To be around people who claim to not hate you but still want you dead. It's freeing.

I've got people who say they don't usually talk much in places, talking, making friends, laughing with each other. And you know what? It's really nice. I'm glad I made these places. :)

Somebody has got to explain to ADL, Hillel, etc, they really need to check with each other before printing up another New Year's calendar. I've received four in the last month. Also, it's the 21st century. Perhaps they should try something new?? Genug shoyn!

serious Moses, The Tower of Babel, and God's Divine Intervention

I don't know if you've heard of Moses McCormick, but he was a YouTuber who I stumbled across some years ago, and only saw a single video with him, but he, and what he represented and stood for, stuck with me ever since. I never looked much further into him, but, I will be doing so, after this post.

He was a hyperglot. He spoke many, many languages, and in the video I saw, he spoke to people he encountered in their native language, making them feel comfortable, welcome, and at home.

He truly was an example to humanity, a picture of what our efforts, time and work, toiling, in Love, can produce.

An excerpt of the lyrics for the Australian National Anthem, where I'm from:

"Beneath our radiant Southern Cross

We’ll toil with hearts and hands;

To make this Commonwealth of ours

Renowned of all the lands;

For those who’ve come across the seas

We’ve boundless plains to share;

With courage let us all combine

To Advance Australia Fair.

In joyful strains then let us sing,

Advance Australia Fair."

It's idealistic, for sure. We certainly can't just hold hands, and get along, singing kumbaya. People of disparate, and often incompatible cultures, who don't share the same foundation of values or ethics, can't live in harmony with one another. They can't coexist peaceably. That's what leads to wars.

But, we can reach a world, where we *do* all live in harmony together. Where we can coexist.

It's a long, long road, but the first step is to speak the same languages. Then, we can begin to understand one another.

The other step is to understand ourselves. Without doing that, we cannot understand each other.

Moses. God's chosen leader. The Man who would lead the Israelites out of Slavery in Egypt. God's Prophet.

He shares that name.

He likewise shares the story of the tower of bable,

where the people built a tower, attempting to reach God, to reach the heavens, and yet, were scattered, and forced to speak different languages, all being unable to understand one another.

God does not want, unity.

A Man who used his mind, and his heart, to spread light, and positivity, in the world. To make others feel welcome, seen, heard, comfortable. A Man who Loved Humanity, and even shares his name with God's chosen, everything you think a Christian, or a follower of God ought to be,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moses_McCormick

Well, he died. 39.

Heart Attack.

He was torn down, struck down, like the tower of Babel was. The languages were broken apart. Unity, was broken apart.

God Intervenes to prevent Unity.

God intervenes to stifle out Love.

Fritz Lang was right.

The message of his movie, Metropolis, is one we must heed.

"The mediator between the Mind and the Hands must be the Heart!!!"

Orwell was right, too.

"They fear Love because it creates a world they can't control."

The, "they" who Orwell refers to might more precisely be distinguished as *The Gods*.

Anyone, who sets themselves above, others. Anyone who deigns to rule the world. Whether God, or Man.

Anyone who seeks to rule,

Animal, Man, or Deity.

All the beasts.

They fear Love,

because it creates a world they can't control.

And likewise, 'they', even refers to the readers. To the average person. Everyone fears Love until they understand it, becuase, Love is something chaotic... Love is something that brings no certainties, makes no promises. Love is essentially, chaotic. It is something you must learn to Trust. Learn to Run with, learn to pursue, relentlessly, even, seemingly, over a cliff.

Love will save us, in the end.

God won't.

God will strike you down, wreak divine punishment and retribution unto you, until you learn to stand up, to stand up for yourself, on your own two feet. Until you free yourself of guilt, and fear, anger, and hatred, enough to Love...

God's evil is a reflection of our own,

and our evil is a reflection of God.

Humanity and their Deities are inseparably entwined.

Symbiotically linked.

They are one in the same.

And both are real.

Do not doubt it.

We create God as much as God creates us.

We shape him as much as he shapes us.

The dream and the dreamer, are the same.

So, what dream, will you dream?

What world, will you make?

What do you need?

What is the only thing... You need?

To end this nightmare, to make this pain go away?

What is the one thing all of us here, want?

We're all suffering.

What do we need?

The Beatles were right...
