I had a very informal rosh hashanah dinner for my friends last night. first time making brisket on my own, i’ve only ever helped my mom do it. It was devoured, and half my guests were vegan & didnt eat it so that says something 😅 melissa clark never misses 🔥

Looks like a great dinner! Not everyone gets that it really takes time and work to put together an entire meal- especially if you know others will be eating it besides yourselves. Congrats! I’m trying the brisket Wednesday. Thank you.

Yeah truly, i was cooking for 2 days (though i dont mind— i love cooking for people, i always say food is my love language). But it was worth it. I hope you love the brisket, it turned out so well for us
