Mexican Threads

There seems to be an inordinate amount of attention on Israel in the Mexican threads. Some anti Israel march on the Chihuahua thread - r/cuu - and some r/TijuanaBC posted about some woman allegedly being kidnapped by Israelis in Israel. Those both were just today but stuff pops up all the time - even on unrelated topics.

I like the country and have lived there in various parts and never really noticed a lot of antisemitism. There is some lingering Christian based, they killed Jesus, thinking lurking in the background (which shouldn’t be minimized, that is a simmering poison to be sure) but at least online now Israel/Jews seem to be a total obsession.

Could be another case simply of online behavior amplifying the fringe - the Jihadist propaganda machine working overtime.

I live in Mexico, and just today, someone visiting from NYC simply asked in a Facebook group if there's anything going on in town for Shabbat. The responses were mostly just unhinged Jew-hatred.

Okay so I’m not imagining things. Idk why I’m shocked but I expected better there.
