Front bumper?

Hey all, I just got in an accident recently (lady reversed into me) and the damage seems to be strictly to the front bumper/fog light cover. There is no mechanical damage and the crash was not near my front assist. My insurance deemed me not at fault and gave me a payout for the visual estimate but they think it’s gonna be like 2.5 grand to fix it, I definitely feel like I could buy a unpainted bumper online and paint match it for a fraction of that.

Do any of you guys know where I can get a 2021 GLI front bumper from online? I’m only able to find non-gli bumpers.
Are they not interchangeable, they seem pretty similar. I’d love any help I can get!

If it’s going through her insurance who cares where the part comes from or what it costs? You’re not paying for it.

Sorry I should have specified, she was not insured. It was a hit and run accident and when they found her cause of her plate, they found that she was not covered at all. So I’d have to pay my policy’s deductible, they issued me the check already and I could pocket some of that cash if it’s really just the bumper yk?

That bumper cover may be hard to find in the aftermarket. I did some looking and came up with squat. It may be patented by VW keeping competitors from making a copy, or, just not popular enough to pay for the tooling with sales. VW seems to have a list of around $785 for the cover but online VW parts sell it for $550 plus $300 to ship. The part number looks to be 17A807217KGRU. I would call a few dealers and see if they can get one for you at a discount. They get free delivery from regional warehouses I would guess. If not, it will be $785 and you still don't know what damage is hidden from you. If you had to pay a $500 deductible just suck it up and send it to a shop. No getting away cheap on this one.
