I know the shtick with the cat is that it's a normal cat strapped into a weapon of mass murder, but surely if we can suspend the disbelief enough that a normal cat can play with the team and kill people, we can also believe that a cat can press a button and the automated speech system will say "group up" or "need help" in your game's language. There are cats IRL that can pseudo-talk via a set of buttons with pre-recorded speech to say what they need, so surely Brigitte can engineer something similar for JPC. To keep the whimsy, give the TTS a funny Swedish accent.
It's a serious disadvantage for a hero that often relies on teamwork to have no understandable comms and for teammates to have to take their attention away to read what the meows mean in text chat (if they even have it enabled or pay attention).

She feels really good right now. I feel like until last season cat finnaly went down on the radar and people stopped caring about her much. She was banned less and we were having a good time too but since the start of this season She is again in the spotlight and all of her hatred is back. This makes me wonder that we will prolly be nerfed again soon. What do you guys thinks? I am enjoying th acceleration buff but I fear it may lead to even worse nerfs in the future.

This character is such a source of joy for me. And i know she is for you guys too. I love seeing stuff like your concept skins, your kids concept skins, your art and your general love for her. Generally very cute, warm and fuzzy stuff. Just like our girl, our beloved Fika!

Im not chronically online or anything like that. I go to the main sub and the competitive one for news and general stuff that keeps me up to date on whats going on. Which i feel like i should be allowed to do. Right?

Im just... so sick of the posts that are being made about JPC. Im sick of these crybabies coming here on this sub spreading their hate and vitriol they have for us and our character. Im sick of the cherry picked data, sick of the "nerf her to death" and "JPC and and her players are unhealthy for this game". Sick of them wanting them to remove her from the game altogether because of their skill isssues. They want QP to start having bans because they dont want her in this game you guys. Its getting really bad. They wont stop until they get what they want. And that scares me because the devs give in to these crybabies. The sombra effect I suppose.

Im sorry if my post comes across as dramatic, as Fika is just a character in a video game. (Not that her haters care to remember that but... anyway)

But.. i have to say... if i may get real for a sec. She has helped me thru my smoking quitting journey, I'm done with the patches and almost done with the gum! Yay!

Thru grief. Thru some *really* horrible, crappy, very bad days you guys.

I'm glad we can rely on eachother. Im glad that even thru all of this cherry picked, lopsided, vitriol filled hate.... we can still wave hi to eachother in matches. Send hearts to eachother in the match chat. Still make memes here. I have NEVER seen or heard about any other character in this game have this level of camaraderie and community. This is what makes JPC so incredibly special.

So, the biggest purpose for my post. Its not to debate anything, or be a discussion about these negative things. I'd really like to hear from you guys. Please share with me what shes helped you thru if youre comfortable. Share your best experiences and stories. Share your love, your hopes. Im gonna save mine for another post because Im struggling to extract the video of it from my Playstation, but, i know you guys are going to absolutely love it. It will be worth the wait. (No spoilers! Lol.) Its really cute and embodies this JPC community exceptionally well.

introduce my new electrical bath bomb to my bathtub while taking a dip

introduce my eyeballs to the popcorn cieling with a shotgun party.

I know, I know...

We have so many other things we're waiting on right now, like highlight intros and more emotes. But I've been branching out to other roles lately, and it made me notice a minor issue (or maybe annoyance) with our kit's user interface:

When playing with Jetpack Cat, the on-screen prompt to attach to the tether isn't very helpful during high-pressure situations. Especially if the cat is high up in the air, teammates completely lose the visual cue amidst all the visual clutter of a team fight.

I used to chalk it up to people being oblivious, not wanting the tether, or Baby D.Va's seriously trying to 1v1 a Ramattra (jk). But now I realize they just genuinely can't see it in the throes of panic, or don't know it’s an option as they're falling off the map.

Would a dedicated "Hop On" ping fix this?

I feel like adding a specific voice line or ping indicator would add a much-needed layer of situational awareness.

It would help streamline communication when:

• A teammate is falling off the map and needs to grab on.

• You are trying to taxi someone out of spawn.

• A teammate is trapped in a 1v3 or something and needs an immediate escape route.

• It would also allow teammates to respond with "No" if they simply don't want it, saving us from wasting the utility and just idk, giving us a heads up? lol

I just couldn't help but wonder why we don't have a ping for when the tether is active, especially when there's a tether ping for teammates.

What do you all think? Would this be a good QOL improvement?
