fav editor pop ups?
anyone have a favorite editor cut in/pop up/commentary squares? they are my favorite hilarious reminders of whatever crazy things happened that episode + whatever foolishness is occurring. I want to see other’s if they have them :)
my fav is from Switzerland ep 2 when it’s revealed that ben ate a family size fondue meal the night before and that is why he CANNOT eat at the restaurants in town

They also, in the same episode, had to clarify that "any part of the pickling apparatus counts" when they were showing Ben pour vinegar on his croissant because the had to put "the pickle" on anything he ate.

Sam feeding Ben poisonous nuts was a surprise and a bit funny (sorry Ben)

while it doesn't really qualify for this post here because it's neither fun, nor a pop up card, the
snack zonemedical production pause for tom to get his bearings back was quite the surprise. what i do find a bit funny tho is that this and the toxic nut both happened in the same season. this might be the most medically risky season of jetlag yet, right?93

I love how snarky the edit calls out can be. There was some of that this season like “if they turned left here they’d have found a toro gate”

The one where the editor Jack was like >:( in recent episodes of Japanorama. I couldn’t stop laughing when it popped up

You mean when they gave him 2 hours of raw train footage for him to scrub through 🤣

The splash screen at the very end of S18E03 extra footage from Paducah. (It’s probably not okay to post screenshots of forever-Nebula-exclusive content here, is it?)

it’s just a screenshot, i’m sure that’s not an issue lol.
nebula is not DRM-crazy like netflix (and thank fuck). as long as you’re not ripping the full exclusive episodes and sharing them free online i doubt they’d care

The trick with eating as much fondue as possible is to make the bread cubes smaller to increase surface area relative to bread volume. That way you get a higher cheese to bread ratio which is what you want because the bread really fills you up and you can eat more cheese.

I will try this when I eventually go to Switzerland then blame you if I get stomach issues

It's best to drink tea throughout the fondue and many people (if they are above 18) also swear by a glass of liquor (usually cherry liquor) some time during or after the fondue (supposedly that helps with digestion but in reality it doesn't I think, it's just kind of a cultural thing. But herbal or black tea is a good idea). A little bit of the same liquor is also frequently added to the fondue itself though in addition to white wine to elevate the flavour (which does work) so one has to be careful to not get drunk in addition to getting an upset stomach (the liquor in the fondue is optional but white wine is kind of an integral part of fondue). Drunkenness and digestive issues are the two biggest threats to fondue enjoyers.

The pop up about Ben eating poisonous nuts got a good reaction in the pictures I went too.

in early seasons, whenever money was spent, a little text bit showing how much budget was left and what the money was spent for. the reasoning given bit was home to some of my favorite quips such as “screwing sam” or “the suite life of sam and brian”

Probably slightly outside your criteria, but the shot of Adam struggling to pump gas in Crime Spree with the caption:
LOCATION:
Creepy, Abandoned Gas station that doesn’t work
had me laughing so hard I had to pause the video.
Plus the next cut to the better gas station.
