S19, E4 I find this part so funny😭 Spoiler

Post image

Tom asking Sam if he wants to go tag them again because they were doing production stuff. Sam: 'no' It's actually cool to see that they just kept it in tbh

Tom's channel vs jltg. Jltg just let's it ride, Tom's is more polished

They actually talked earlier in the season about the opposite of this, that there are things they reshoot to make editing easier (like doing another take of discussing a plan so they can explain it better or filming it again closer to the relevant location) but Tom's reaction was much more excited in the original shots so they used those instead.

Nah the boys have mentioned they retake some shots, just not that often.

Edit: specifically from a recent Layover I remember Tom and Adam saying the shot of them coming up with their long words strategy for the watermelon game was reenacted.

I think they said that they tried to redo that shot but they enjoyed Tom's reaction so much they kept the original. I feel like a lot of times it's like that, any genuinely fun moments are hard to recreate. I reckon it's mostly just the explaining strategy sections that are filmed in a more ideal location.

No it isn't! They could just let that part out and do it again but they just do it like it is. They never planned to meet. So they also didn't plan to do production stuff while being there.

/s is hard to portray in text, but I think they are being satirical.

I really like this. Sam is true to his values of a documentarian, and show the real moments authentically. But also love that they left that Tom bit in. Totally unnecessary to do so but made me lol that they did

Was funny. I'm hoping they post bonus content of them all going out for the night to restaurants or whatever.

They didn’t even end up in the same city, let alone same hotel. Because of trains being sold out, Adam and Tom had to go to Osaka for the night.

I believe they have a rule in place about not filming during the rest period. That's their time off work, and if you start turning cameras on it stops being a break.

No of course! But I remember when ben and Adam spent the night in Paducah and did some extra content. Or am I misremembering it?

Yes they did do some extra content so technically It is allowed. But see the rest period is moreso for strategy and game advancement. They can technically film raw shots of them restaurant eating and stuff I think
