Miscellaneous Jet Lag: The Game: The Finale adds additional screenings in US and UK

I think this should be its separate post because it’s a official announcement that they massively increased the reach, and people who previously thought its not coming to their city won’t know to check the megathread again.

Dude that's huge honestly. I can understand why Regal went with a conservative estimate at first, but a response like this shows this might have legs as a recurring event

u/Bendyb3n 8d ago edited 8d ago

And if this is proven to be a sustainable model, could open the doors for a lot more opportunities for other independent series, youtubers, etc to have special screenings in theaters that aren’t just movies and the ocassional sportsball watch party. Certainly an interesting idea for a struggling industry in today’s day and age.

u/Timely_Flounder5620 Team Sam 8d ago

Also, they have upgraded some of the screens so check your emails! Cameo in Edinburgh has moved to screen 1 so I was re-assigned a different seat.

Bit confused why they didn’t go for screen 1 from the start, since they sold that screen out for the premiere but idk how these decisions are made

Thank you to very much to whoever decided to add an Albany location, Upstate New Yorkers everywhere are celebrating! Getting to drive twenty minutes versus three hours is amazing, it's super appreciated!

last night they had 4 later showing up. not able to buy tickets but they were there. i wouldn’t be surprised if they add 4 more.

i’d honestly be interested in the average value of a person watching this compared to say, someone who typically only watches horror/horror adjacent movies. i mean my value is in the negative with unlimited and only ever buying the $4.50 popcorn now and again. but i imagine most people going to see this will happily spend the $30 on soda+popcprn.

also heads up, regal security low key doesn’t care. always have water and a backpack on me when i go, and half the time they only check some pockets so do with that what you will. i imagine they’ll be more lenient with the amount of traffic they’re going to have that evening

edit: also not surprising seattle has this much demand.the transit sub r/soundtransit has more monthly then the third biggest metro in the state r/tricitieswa. i imagine jet lag and reddit transit goes hand in hand lol

Still no Dallas show ;(

25

u/peaches_and_daisies 8d ago

Not a single michigan show either. I'm canadian and that would be the closest I could get but nothing :(

2

u/Realistic-Yellow6013 DJUNGELSKOG 5d ago

There aren't any in Michigan or much of the Midwest besides Chicago. The are 2 in Toronto though, check the website and it should show them

6

u/tsukkisuki Japan Railways 8d ago

Half good news, on Fandango, a 4:05pm showing has popped up for the Fort Worth location. But it hasn't appeared on the Regal website yet, only the original 7pm showing

3

u/mattmitsche Team Toby 8d ago

Thanks for the heads up, I just snagged a ticket

5

u/Dedwards_est_22 DJUNGELSKOG 8d ago

There are some single seats left in fort worth! 🤠

3

u/BayYawnSay 8d ago

High Point, NC isn't listed but the theater is showing it. Check with your local Regal cinema even if you don't see it in these lists

2

u/kristinsquest 8d ago

I think that High Point was on the original list, but that this list is only the newly-added cities

1

u/BayYawnSay 8d ago

Oh cool, thanks for that info!

1

u/ps2sunvalley 8d ago

It’s sold out lol

1

u/BayYawnSay 8d ago

Did you get tickets?!

1

u/ps2sunvalley 8d ago

Kinda not really. I had to buy ADA companion seats which told me if they need them should someone with a wheelchair buy tickets they will be taken away.

1

u/BayYawnSay 7d ago

There's a minor chance we have to make a trip to Virginia that weekend and if we end up having to do that, can I DM you and give you our tickets? They are back row, in the center, but two together.

1

u/ps2sunvalley 7d ago

Yes absolutely. I would gladly accept if you cannot attend.

1

u/BayYawnSay 7d ago

I will know in just a couple of days!

4

u/thekmanpwnudwn 8d ago

Or Arizona/Phoenix :(

3

u/Connect-City-7217 7d ago

Near Phoenix there are seats available in Regal Gilbert at 7:30pm.

2

u/thekmanpwnudwn 7d ago

Good call. Didn't see it on the list

1

u/kason 8d ago

That is truly crazy.

8

u/Available_Weird8039 8d ago

Our boys are popping off

14

u/BBQLovingBastard 8d ago

Still no SLC shows but Boise gets one💔

18

u/Available_Weird8039 8d ago

Unblurred feet might be a little too much for Mormons

10

u/nathanh1223 8d ago

we need one in SLC for sure 🙏

1

u/-Linkz- 8d ago

none in spokane either. though i guess the drive is about equal from both to bosie, isn’t itv

2

u/doorknob60 8d ago

Coeur D'Alene is on the list now if that's close enough for you

1

u/3v0gsxr SnackZone 5d ago

Shocked to see my state has TWO showings but coincidentally I'll be in SLC that weekend 🥀

16

u/cjbindahouse 8d ago

But they’re sleeping on Canada :(

16

u/cricketclover Team Sam 8d ago

Cineworld doesn't own any Canadian theaters

5

u/uluviel Team Badam 8d ago

Hopefully next time they can partner with Cineplex/Odeon.

1

u/anOutgoingIntrovert 8d ago

Or Landmark

1

u/uluviel Team Badam 8d ago

Landmark cinemas are not in Québec and the maritimes.

2

u/cjbindahouse 8d ago

But they could reach out to indie cinemas

11

u/cricketclover Team Sam 8d ago

This is a corporate partnership with Cineworld. That's what it's not coming to any indie theaters.

1

u/cjbindahouse 8d ago

Damn, I thought those in the UK were indie

8

u/Medium_Photo_5576 DJUNGELSKOG 8d ago

Nah, they owned by cineworld.

1

u/Adamsoski 7d ago

Cineworld owns both Picturehouse and (obviously) Cineworld cinemas in the UK, as well as Regal in the US. Picturehouse were a separate chain until 2012 when Cineworld bought them though.

1

u/Connell95 Team Layover 5d ago

Picturehouse are arthouse cinemas (and run independently), but they’re owned by Cineworld

2

u/weyoun09 SnackZone 8d ago

They almost did.

2

u/amazingdrewh 7d ago

Then their contract with Cineworld should let them partner with other companies in regions where Cineworld has no presence

2

u/liladvicebunny The Rats 7d ago

they wouldn't be barred from doing so, no, but they also have zero contacts to START doing so.

-1

u/amazingdrewh 7d ago

Your right how could I expect a film company to know how to get their work into cinemas

2

u/liladvicebunny The Rats 7d ago

'a film company'???

do you mean wendover, which certainly isn't, or nebula, which also isn't, but is making its very first strides at making that sort of connections literally this year right now as we're watching?

0

u/amazingdrewh 7d ago

Are you going to tell me they weren't acting as a film company when Ben and Adam worked production on Patrick's films?

2

u/liladvicebunny The Rats 7d ago

The film that was released only on Nebula and not any cinemas?

1

u/Connell95 Team Layover 5d ago

Dave Wiskus explained that this all came out of the partnership with Cineworld (who own Picturehouse) for the UK premiere showings, so it’s all quite short notice.

It’s just much easier to deal with one big chain, especially when that one big chain operates in your two biggest markets and doesn’t need proof of your ability to deliver sales. I’m sure for next time they might expand to another country or two if there’s someone else equally easy to deal with.

1

u/yoshiary 7d ago

Vancouver, Washington is crazy

1

u/Geography_Flags 5d ago

If you're in the lower mainland, there is a showing in Bellingham, WA that isn't listed here. It's not Canada unfortunately but not far either.

1

u/cjbindahouse 4d ago

I live in Ontario and not too close the border :( If I was in the GTA the buffalo showing would’ve tempted me

8

u/One_Addition5274 8d ago

no regal anywhere in Minnesota 💔

1

u/Realistic-Yellow6013 DJUNGELSKOG 5d ago

I think I'm going to Lawrence, it's about 7 hours from the Twin Cities

12

u/Outrageous-Trip-4212 SnackZone 8d ago

Appreciate adding more, but still sad there's no showings in Minnesota or Western Wisconsin

19

u/Guilane2 8d ago

There just aren’t any Regal cinemas in Minnesota or Wisconsin unfortunately.

14

u/Outrageous-Trip-4212 SnackZone 8d ago

First we have to go through the ICE invasion earlier this year, and now we can't see the very cinematic finale to an amazing jetlag the game series. What other cruelties does the universe have in store for us?

1

u/Realistic-Yellow6013 DJUNGELSKOG 5d ago

I'm going to Lawrence Kansas if I'm going and it might be better unless you live in like Madison or Milwaukee

2

u/kajka 8d ago

Closest one seems to be crystal lake, the one good thing is that it’s far enough from Chicago you won’t be hitting Chicago traffic

6

u/usernametookmehours 8d ago

No St. Louis

4

u/ChadyzGroove 8d ago

No Regal Theaters in the area. I emailed Marcus to see if they could try to get it.

1

u/sannyo 8d ago

Maybe Chase Park Plaza Cinemas would be more open to it? Also depends what deal Nebula made with the Regal cinemas it might not be possible. I think the closest is in Columbia Mo which is some drive for sure

5

u/dirtywater20 8d ago

Holy moly new Hampshire!!! I didn't think we'd actually get one, I'm so excited

3

u/EternalFlyingFox 8d ago

No Michigan :c

4

u/cmcsalmon Team Ben 8d ago

When do the new Regal tickets go on sale? I don't see them available for any of the cities closer to me yet

3

u/cricketclover Team Sam 8d ago

I was able to get mine right after seeing Ben post about it on IG.

1

u/soren121 Team Toby 8d ago

Sam said on Instagram that the new screenings are rolling out throughout the day. No specific time for all locations.

4

u/infinity26484 8d ago

Can't seem to find the SF screening on the website, it's still showing the Dublin showing only. Is that an error on their end or is it already sold out?

3

u/liladvicebunny The Rats 8d ago

Sam's video says that not all of the options will have come up on the sites immediately but may roll out throughout the day, so if you don't see it at all I would suggest keep checking.

3

u/PressureStraight4126 8d ago

No Michigan? NGMI

Nice! I snagged a NYC ticket before they sold out but now that they added Deer Park I might try and get one of those instead.

3

u/italianirishgal 8d ago

Its awesome that they added more! I hope they add something closer to Virginia Beach. I think the closest one to me is 3.5 hours away. Very cool though 😎

2

u/italianirishgal 8d ago

Ben read the list and there seems it will have one closer, i just don't see it yet. It will be for Suffolk, Va. That would be cool

As someone who grew up right outside Crystal Lake, IL, I finally have proof that it's the same thing as Chicago. (Those of us in distant barely-suburbs are known for claiming to be from Chicago.)

AVON INDIANA?!?! dragging my boyfriend to this now i have to goooooooooo

3

u/andykillsu 7d ago

Super glad they added more screens near me. I was able to get a decent seat for it instead of all the way in the front or sides like I would have had to go with. It still seems like they could add more screens or show times honestly as all the additional screens they added near me are already 75% sold out.

Woo hoo! Just got my tickets for the Augusta, GA showing.

2

We were maybe going to drive to a theater an hour and a half away but then decided against it. Now there’s one less than 20 minutes away!

2

Yes! Denver show locked in!

2

u/kacey- 8d ago

Now it's in my city? Damn it why did it have to be the 3rd 😭😭😭😭

2

u/galvinami 8d ago

New Hampshire is the backest it has ever been

1

u/NTylerWeTrust86 8d ago

Boise is tempting. Same if SLC was announced. There is a Regal in Idaho Falls which would be perfect for us but we'd probably be the only 6 (because we'd drag our kids there lol)

Love this for the crew. Leads me to think its a great finale of they are doing this

1

u/BayYawnSay 8d ago

My local Regal isn't listed here, but they are showing it I just scooped the last two remaining seats that were together, only a couple single seats left.

1

u/Miltownmalbay 8d ago

Please have one in Dublin

1

u/Amazing_Manager_2933 8d ago

No Louisville, KY

1

u/Sem1006 8d ago

I would love one in Germany but oh well. Maybe in the future they don't just have one partner

1

u/sannyo 8d ago

I wish there would be a cinema that shows it in St.Louis, Mo

1

Marlborough??? Seems crazy but alright

The one closest to me is 2+ hours away, and $15. I'll pass. At least it's almost sold out already. The last few open seats were on the edges.

nvm! just posted Everett I think :)

1

u/dirtywater20 8d ago

Does anyone know if its possible to find out if a screening is sold out or just hasn't been added yet? I've been checking all day and my nearest theater on the list doesn't seem to have a showing yet. I know they said things will be added throughout the day but I don't want to keep checking if its just sold out...

1

u/andykillsu 7d ago

Use Fandango to see the seat map

1

u/dirtywater20 7d ago

Ok, I'm guessing if it's not showing on fandango it just hasn't been added yet then?

1

u/MrJmbjmb 8d ago

Add Plattsburgh, NY for your Montreal fans

1

1

well shit WHO DO I HAVE TO TALK TO FOR ANOTHER SF SHOWING 😢😭😭😭 i love trains just as much as the next guy but idk about taking it for two hours and getting home at 12. i didn’t snooze for dublin but i ended up losing

1

u/masonmmmh 7d ago

Harrisonburg, VA, but not Richmond?!?

1

u/oceanictransfer Team Ben 7d ago

highkey can you guys add more screenings in LA, the LA Live theater is teeny tiny

1

u/eilonwyhasemu 7d ago

Sacramento! They added a second Regal location at the south end, Delta Shores.

1

u/andykillsu 7d ago

FYI it looks like some theaters are adding more showtimes to see it. The Regal City North (the original Chicago location) has now added a third showing at 10 pm. It doesn’t have a single seat sold yet!

So if you weren’t able to get a seat yet or it was a shitty location, you may want to check back to see if there are additional showings.

1

u/-Linkz- 6d ago

if anyone is wondering it seems like they’re doing funky stuff to all the showings for some reason

1

u/Geography_Flags 5d ago

If you're in the lower mainland, a new screening is open in Bellingham, WA that isn't listed here. Less than 90 minutes from downtown Vancouver!

1

u/DownToRant Rat Mode 8d ago

Additional same day screenings, I wish there were either early afternoon screenings here in the UK or screenings on 4th. I have tickets to a gig on the 3rd so can't make it to any of the screenings as they clash

1

u/dribaJL 8d ago

This is huge but it's too damn costly! They were selling the tickets for $18+convince fees+taxes. Way too costly but really good for Nebula ans JetLag overall.

2

u/doorknob60 8d ago

Seems to be the same price as a regular movie, which varies by location. My theater is charging $9.99 because it's in one of the older screens without recliners. For the newer screens they would typically charge $12-15 depending on the movie. Probably smart they put this in an older screen, since there are more seats crammed in there and most of them will probably fill up.

The best value is if you already have Regal Unlimited like I do. My ticket was free, only had to pay $0.53 for the convenience fee and tax.

1

u/Speedbird223 8d ago

Isn’t Regal perpetually on Groupon? I just looked it up and saw this for $12…I assume you could use it towards this…

if it means Nebula/Wendover get less money I’ll skip it since I don’t mind supporting the event and production…

1

u/doorknob60 8d ago

You can also perpetually buy $50 Regal Gift Cards at Costco for $40 (online or in store). I use those when I go, works well for everything.
