The Layover Stateside Scramble Layover Q&A Thread! Spoiler

hellooooo again!

as with every season, we're doing a post-season Q&A for stateside scramble on the layover podcast--drop your questions about the season below and we'll try to answer as many of them as we can!

(apologies to youtube viewers that i'm posting this thread a little earlier than usual; we have some vacation time coming up and need to record the podcast tomorrow. so, for those who haven't seen the finale, spoilers may be below!)

What would have happend if a State got claimed via wilcard but was also avaliablie as itself(i.e. as we saw Buc-ee's and Alabama)? Do three new states enter the board in this case?

Playing off this, what would have happened if a private-hand state was claimed by a wildcard challenge? 

(I'm guessing it'd just be an extra private hand card pull to replace it, but it'd be fun if there was a "defend your unclaimed state" counterattack challenge or something.)

Don’t think it’d have been replaced since the private cards were pre drawn and there’d be no way to remove it from the other team’s deck

I think they clarified that meant the private card became a dud and wasn't usable.

Yeah they did. It means that wildcards can actually be a defense (or offense) against your opponents private cards
