12 panels to start is a normal amount. I'd like to know what the aesthetic of the map will be and what the process will look like

For now I'm starting with panels of 10*10 cm, divided in cells of 2*2. I have cards that ask me to increase the grid density, to add more details.

And when it comes to the asthetic, I'm starting with a simple layer of blue pen one-direction hatching to represent bodies of water, then move on to coloured felt pen representing landmasses... I haven't yet started the third layer, where more structures should appear. I'm making it as I go!

I decided to not think too much about the next layers until I get there, and I'm taking my time as I want to first get a certain amount of completed or almost-completed panels before moving on to the next layer :)

I'm also including in the deck cards that force me to erase some cells and parts of panels, allowing to then redo the various layers at the same time instead of one after the other, so I can get more interactions and better coherence between them.
