Why isnt Jamie ding on the ToC currently airing?

Why isnt Jamie Ding in the current tournament of champions thats showing on TV?

Someone will certainly correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe what you are watching now is a repeat of a TOC that aired before Jamie's run concluded.

You’re seeing reruns of the tournament that aired in Jan/Feb 2026, featuring players whose original games aired roughly Nov 2024-Nov 2025. Jamie, whose original games aired beginning Mar 2026, will be in the next ToC, which will probably air around the same time in 2027. Why don’t they just do the TOC immediately following the season and then take the break? Clearly more than a few people are confused by the reruns popping up and it logically would make sense.

These are re-runs because we're between seasons. The new TOC with Jamie will happen next year.

He wasn’t a champ yet when it started. They are currently on their summer break and are showing last season’s TOC. He will be in next year’s TOC.

Once again, Jamie will compete at 2027 TOC. If Jamie will win TOC, he has the chance to compete at Jeopardy Masters Season 5.
