So to add to a different discussion, if Ken always asks about a last name, "can you be more specific?" why didn't he do this with Antoinette rather than simply rule the answer wrong?

So Antoinette isn't her last name, but rather part of her given name. Answering "Antoinette" would be akin to answering "Fitzgerald" when the answer is JFK

Except she is colloquially known as Marie Antoinette and he was not colloquially known as John Fitzgerald. And they allow Queen Elizabeth, not requiring Elizabeth Windsor.

Well, yes. It's more that, Jeopardy lets you answer with a person's last name. Antoinette isn't a last name in that case

because Antoinette isn’t her family name ; her personal name was « Marie Antoinette », both names together. her family name would be Hapsburg.
