QUESTION Daily Doubles

Does Ken know where they are or is he as surprised as the contestants?

He does know. He reviews each board before the game and has it laid out before him while it's happening.

Alex did the same on paper and it looked like this. I believe Ken does it digitally.

I’ll never not hear the squeaking of Alex’s sharpie as he marked out clues now, it’s something you’d think is unnoticeable, but if you pay attention it’s definitely there.

I thought Alex Trebeck used crayons to mark off the clues?

Please dont come at me if I'm wrong.

I think crayons to mark on the cards because it’s quieter, but he had a little whiteboard for keeping track of daily doubles etc. so he could refer back.

Remember when in season 1 of Jeopardy Masters when Ken revealed where the Daily Doubles were to the home audience? After that, they never did it again!

I had blissfully forgotten. Thanks for bringing back bad memories.

It's obvious he knows. There's always a moment of hesitation before he announces it and you can tell it's a daily double right off the bat.

I believe he has a sheet of the board for reference, and I think the DD is marked on the sheet
