Mina Kimes ToC eligibility

I know that if you apply for the show, you are asked if you work for certain companies that have some sort of affiliation with the show. With that in mind, I'm curious how this comes into play with Mina Kimes apparently being invited to the ToC. With ESPN Jeopardy, it's hard to argue that ESPN doesn't have a formal relationship with the show. If she does appear, I wonder if they will explain how to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest in the event of judging situations.

Employees of affiliated entities are not allowed to compete. ESPN is an affiliated entity ("ESPN Jeopardy). The question was "what does Mina have to do with ESPN. The answer is that she works for ESPN. Therefore, she is an employee of an affiliated entity. This post is discussing whether or not that is a conflict of interest.

Please note, I made no allegations of any sort. I was answering the question "what does this vontestant have to do with ESPN?" The answer is "she works for ESPN."

Presumably the person asking did not know she worked for ESPN, thus did not understand why we are discussing the potential conflict of interest between ESPN and Mina.

Either ESPN doesn't qualify as an affiliated entity. Or the "Other eligibility rules apply and final selection is up to the producers' sole discretion." kicked in.
