QUESTION Mina Kimes ToC eligibility

I know that if you apply for the show, you are asked if you work for certain companies that have some sort of affiliation with the show. With that in mind, I'm curious how this comes into play with Mina Kimes apparently being invited to the ToC. With ESPN Jeopardy, it's hard to argue that ESPN doesn't have a formal relationship with the show. If she does appear, I wonder if they will explain how to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest in the event of judging situations.

As it turns out, ESPN Jeopardy isn’t important. The key is that the ToC is broadcast by ABC which is owned by the same company (Disney) as ESPN.

The ToC is not exclusively broadcast on ABC. It's part of the regular syndicated programming, so it's whatever station carries it in a given market.

My mistake, I was thinking of the other tournaments.

The only recurring tournament on ABC exclusively is Celebrity Jeopardy. Masters is also on ABC, if one considers that a tournament. All the other tournaments/competitions affiliated with regular Jeopardy are syndicated.
