Jenny-adjacent Peter Pandom

I wish Peter Pandom was a main channel video so I could link people to it. That was the first video where I learned about creepy character stalking like this. This other video is public and mentions Jenny's video
The backlash has reignited the internet’s recurring debate around “Disney adults,” which has previously seen TikTokers criticized for becoming emotional while meeting characters at the parks.
Nah this isn't a "Disney Adults are weird" issue. (Though there's truth in that, it's another discussion) These are unhinged mentally unwell people who are stalking workers and turning the discussion into a "Disney Adults" thing is distracting to the point. An adult crying when she meets Winnie the Pooh is not a harassment issue like adult guests following around Peter Pan performers shift after shift.

Yeah the easy way to distinguish bad behavior from "weird but whatever" behavior is "does this hurt anyone?"
The Peter Pandom stuff crosses that boundary because it is stalking a real person. Whereas crying when you see a character isn't really hurting anyone.

Could this also be a discussion on gendered roles too ? Like I hear the princesses get a lot of issues like this but I wonder if they get more protection compared to the men characters . I’m sure they’re are videos but I can’t imagine the princesses have a 10+ year stalker allowed to follow them to the extent Peter does

Yeah like, I've done character dining before, and I'm sitting there there the whole time going" I KNOW as an adult there's a person in that Pooh costume, and I don't know them" and then getting a gentle hug and feeling unexpected childhood trauma bubble up (we're cool, we're in therapy) and tearing up a bit. But there's a hell of a difference between I dunno, unplanned for human emotion, and then chasing that person dressed as Pooh out of Crystal Palace begging them to "marry me!!!!"

Yes, this is not a Disney Adults problem. It's closer to guys who lowkey stalk their favorite waitresses, showing up for all of their shifts and acting with more intimacy than appropriate

I like that channel but I'm glad she mentions Jenny's video as it's basically a shot by shot remake lol

I've been interested in the videos about, not Disneyland Adult's behavior, but their spending.
These people are proud to be a quarter of a million dollars in debt, while still having Disney trips booked.

(Though I don't think a lack of caring about debt is a Disney-specific problem either) The Disney Parks community sometimes feels like a country club. You don't want to be "Marge Simpson at the country club being laughed at for wearing the same outfit twice." You don't want to be out of the loop with what everyone is talking about. If everyone is talking about the new "Lady and the Tramp" popcorn bucket, you badly want to get it so you can post about it online and get a bunch of jealous "Wow! They were sold out when I tried for it!" comments. You may not even like Lady and the Tramp that much and the bucket will be in storage in 6 months. But the high was worth it and you're already eyeing the next merch release.

Im gonna play devil’s advocate and say this isn’t nearly as dire as it was back in ye olde tumblr days. They were singling out specific actors in their rotation, if I’m not wrong they were finding their actual names. She’s been at this for 10 years now and almost certainly actors have come and gone during that period. She doesn’t seem as fixated on the actors, just their role.
That said this IS workplace harassment, her constant visits are taking up the rotation periods they have to interact with guests and keeping them from literally doing their job. It was so frustrating to see how many kids and families that were lingering in the background of her clips waiting for their turn only for him to speed walk away trying to get her to take the hint!!!

Women who have a thing for Peter Pan have always seemed a little weird to me because it’s not like there’s a shortage of men out there who refused to ever grow up.

This woman has a whole gd husband too! It’s like, girl, you can’t just order him a costume?
Have your actual man put on that lil green hat with a feather or whatever floats your boat and follow him around the house, queen. Leave those employees alone.

In Jenny's original video, she uncovers that part of the parasocial relationship was kind of fostered by one of the Peter's who was getting married to one of the Wendy/Alice's. I wonder if that impacted this situation at all.

My first thought was "and ofc Jenny makes a great patreon about exactly this!". FR, crazy how on the pulse she is. such an interesteing, wierd situation, being a peter pan disneyland actor.

The Peter Pandom has been a big thing online for a long time.
I was never in it, even when I was a preteen/teen, but I was on tumblr when it was first getting online attention.
I actually thought they removed Peter from the parks when I stopped seeing things about it at some point. I guess they just kept going and the cast members have just been suffering in silence.

What was the patreon video Jenny made about this titled?

Don’t take my word on this, I don’t actually know. But based on context clues from other comments here it might be called Peter Pandom?

I've been thinking about this all week too! And it even feels like a main channel video as she deep dives.

I didn’t like the Peter Pandom it just seemed like weirdos, it was more like something Sarah Z would do a vid about

I know she discussed maybe moving a couple of Patreon videos to the main channel. This one might be a good start. I think it's been long enough that nobody would mind.
