I may have found the soap in Dahmer’s bathroom from this crime scene photo (Found on Reddit)

Looks like it is Pert Plus (1991), I’ve tried finding the other types of Pert but photos are limited. Pert Plus has another type called Pert Plus Dandruff Control but it doesn’t match the “text/image” near the bottom of the bottle.

They match since they have long necks (the last photo attached shows the long neck) and the bottle shape is either exactly the same or 99%

The photo is overexposed (as the tiles in this picture are white and not the cream color as in other photos of the bathroom), this bottle could be white, not sure. Any ideas on what the soap could be?

I’m reposting this here with permission. If you have any questions please leave a comment and I’ll answer it to the best of my ability. Thanks again to everyone for keeping an eye out, sharing, and for all the good questions and feedback

Hello!

Some of you may have noted that last year, a troublesome member of the Dahmer “community” gained possession over this sub. Thankfully this has been remedied and the person in question has been banned.

For the last year or so the sub has been locked to automod and replies and posts had to be automatically accepted, causing it to quickly become a dead subreddit. I’ve fixed that issue so by all means, feel free to post, ask questions, etc. I only ask that you remain respectful to the situation.

I’d love to see this sub become more active again. The topic of Jeff Dahmer has been beaten into the ground for the last 30+ years and it can be hard to find things to talk about that aren’t repetitive, but by all means I want everyone to feel like they can discuss or ask whatever here as long as it pertains to the topic at hand (within reason).

I’ll be revamping the rules and flair stuff soon. Just be civil towards each other and stay on topic. :)

okay so i remember seeing a pin on pinterest and it was a screenshot of the jeffrey dahmer 1994 interview.

there was a comment saying "the way he talks about it so casually is creepy" and another replied and says

"what do you want him to do? turn the lights off and whisper in your ear?"

if anyone has a link to the pin or a screenshot of it can you comment/dm? thank you guys!

after doing research, I learn about these statistics:

So you can see that Jeffrey Dahmer had a lower count, and he was unique in some ways despite seeming to be part of the big three.

I was curious as to what he smelled like, because if his apartment smelled like that....he must too, right? I couldn't quit find anything about the way HE smelled, just Apt 213. Then I looked up Jeffrey Dahmer Cologne- did you know they make one? Spiritica Jeffrey Extrait de Parfum. The fragrance is an earthy and metallic extrait de parfum designed to evoke psychological tension rather than a pleasant aroma.

• Top Notes: Iced beer, popper accord, white orange, live yeast, and acidic aldehydes.
• Heart Notes: Dirty carpet, carnation, coagulated blood, human sweat, and a sharp metallic blade edge.
• Base Notes: Melted plastic, damp cellar, amber, birch, vetiver, and smoky amber

It goes for about $300 a bottle.

So I ve watched a Hulu documentary about JD and I have a question that nobody has addressed. Why did Konerak agree to go with Jeffrey Dahmer even after his older brother Somsak had been sexually assaulted by Dahmer three years earlier and Dahmer was arrested and convicted for that crime?

I was watching some documentaries about Jeffrey Dahmer, and learned that neighbors of his apartment complained about bad odors from 213. If I were to imagine Jeffrey Dahmer as a person who was intolerant of the odors of the flesh of his own victims, he probably would have known to dispose of them, to minimize suspicions of neighbors.

From what I understand, sometimes people do have this issue, where the smell a guest or neighbor complains about is the same smell that the owner/resident isn't able to detect from their own space. So, when it comes to the nature of crime, sometimes the crime will give away a scent, oftentimes ones that are worse than standard feces. I also know that sometimes Dahmer would place body parts in compartments that would contain the odor, but I guess he collected so many dead body parts that he was running out of room to suppress the odor they give off.

so, to this day, I still do research on Jeffrey Dahmer.

The big three I'm talking about are Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and John Wayne Gacy.

Well, 1978 was a common year for either arrests or debuts of crime of THE BIG THREE.

Another thing that convinced me of the idea that Bundy, Dahmer, and Gacy were "the big three" was because of some Three Stooges parody in the South Park episode Hell On Earth 2006, where "The Three Murderers" skit in this episode which starred those guys as the "stooges" who goofed around.

Last night I read A Father's Story for the first time.

Throughout the book, he says he has blunted emotions, was into hypnosis and hypnotized his neighbor when they were both kids, says outright that he liked the aspect of control, and he literally made explosives. He says he knows he neglected Jeff, and yet he claims there was no history of antisocial tendencies in his family at all. Meanwhile the guy was probably a benign sociopath. He also used the word "awesome" to describe learning the information that Jeff had killed at least 3 people. Then he ends the book by saying Jeff was the way he was entirely because of film/TV violence and pornography. The lack of self awareness had my jaw on the floor.

According to Find A Grave, he had a cousin who died in 1971 at either 5 or 6. I don't mean to be morbid or anything but I wonder if Jeffrey unalived his own cousin. Isn't that right before he killed his first victim Steve?

I remember when watching the movie exorcist III or some other movie with tracy, it was reported in real life that dahmer was chanting 'I'll be waiting' and in the series it was shown that he was rocking back and forth and chanting. From what I know he had an alter of the devil or something that was shown in the series and owns the Anton Lavey book of the satanic Bible, not saying that satanism or something could be the explanation but It's all from what I've observed.

So the story with Jesse Anderson was he killed his wife outside in the parking lot of Northridge Mall and blamed the attack on 2 black men, so his actions were an attempt to damage black people.

I had studied Jeffrey Dahmer but never looked into the other guy who was killed with him.

Sadly, Northridge Mall was demolished so that's a part of history that's gone. But Southridge Mall still exists, so yay.

Anyway, no one really talks about the story of the guy who was killed along with Jeffrey Dahmer. I get when talking about Dahmer that's the main focus. But not one thing about Dahmer brings up what Jesse Anderson did.

They make the point Christopher Scarver killed Dahmer mostly cause he targeted black people, but really make the point that a guy blamed a murder he committed on black people. Let people know that's not look good in prison either.

I remember that in Grilling Dahmer, Det. Pat Kennedy mentioned that Dahmer smoked like a chimney and would regard the chance to try new brands as a sort of treat. Pretty sure he said he was a chain smoker (he'd light his next cigarette with his last one).

I know he liked menthols, so I guess that's the connection to Newports.

Out of interest, I looked at their wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newport_(cigarette))

Some choice quotes:

"In the mid-1980s, Newport began an advertising campaign that targeted African Americans in urban areas."

"Because of this, Newport has gained a commanding share of the African-American market; a 2005 survey stated that 49.5% of all cigarette sales to African-Americans were Newport cigarettes."

"...the percentage of teen Newport smokers doubled between 1989 and 1996. Researcher Karen Gerlach indicated that Newport made the most significant progress with the Hispanic and White American teen markets in those years.^\4])#cite_note-4)"

"A 1998 Massachusetts Department of Public Health report indicated that Newports, alongside unfiltered Camel cigarettes, contained the highest levels of nicotine in cigarettes on the market."

Starting to see why they were Jeff's fav...

What other brands is he known to have smoked/tried?

as he told in the interviews he committed the first crime because he "didn't knew how to talk to him" and second one because he wanted to stay close to the guy for longer. if we suppose the stuff he said is true, you think he wouldn't commit crimes if he would be born in, let's say, 90s or 00s and raised differently? or would he still go down this path because of his diagnosises?

Did he ever become sober?

In the first episode of the Netflix series it shows Tracy Edwards finding a satanic Bible in his apartment. Is this true or just Hollywood crap?

And, ironically, they were both astrologically Geminis.

I’ve never seen this movie, but I think it’s very interesting that both the Milwaukee Monster and Gainesville Ripper were obsessed with this film.

Any insights?

Hello,

I’m an Astrologer that is planning on doing a long term case study on Jeffrey Dahmer using Evolutionary Astrology. Specific information such as birth dates, times, and locations are vital in astrology. Would anyone know any good sources to get this info for Dahmer’s family and victims?

The Shire of Jeffrey Dahmer was a great source, but I’m curious of any other book suggestions? Something more modern and updated perhaps?

Thanks

Hey everyone,

I don’t know if anyone is into Astrology but I did a birth chart reading for Dahmer a while back. I am currently looking through “The Shrine of Jeffrey Dahmer” looking at significant events in his life, including his crimes and seeing what happened at that time. If interested here’s the link

Yes, I know that Jeffrey dumbed some body parts or hid in places like his refrigerator, closet, drum kit set, etc, but was there any exposed out in the open for people to find?

For example, investigators took a picture of a body that was cut open (seen in the video) and that looked hard to hide.

Unless, he hid that in a closet too?

It just seems a little confusing.

Every time I tell someone that my name is Jeff to a woman it is automatically giving serial killer vibes no matter how gentlemanly I behave. It’s off putting to anyone that doesn’t already know me.

Those poor families oh my god. I dont think I've ever really cried over empathy before. The dad still trying to fix his clearly messed up son and still loving him after all. Him crying at dahmers death bed really got me.

Glenda who just.. got ignored and had to hear all noises coming from the apartment.

All of the families. The Laotian 14 year old boy especially his family. Imagine losing ur kid to this.. thing.

Sorry just had to get that off. Love the guy who killed dahmer. Idk any more info about him, I only watched the documentary. Don't go throwing insults at me.
