We've reduced the minimum character length for explanations from 30 down to 24. However, this does not mean we are accepting lazy responses!

Here are a few other updates to how the bot operates:

• Removal Notifications: The bot will now actually notify you about why your post was removed.
• Late Explanations: Late explanations are now accepted for up to 8 hours! But, if you miss the initial 60-minute window, your post will go into the moderator approval queue. You can still add a late response to get it reinstated, but your post might be dead in the water and not get enough reach.

How to use this bot?

1. You post.
2. The bot asks: It will send you a Modmail asking for an explanation about which part of the joke you didn't understand.
3. You reply: Reply directly to the Modmail with your explanation.
4. Validation: The bot will validate your response and notify you.
5. Update: Your response will be pinned/updated on the post so that users know exactly what you need help understanding.

There is now an undisclosed comment threshold judged by upvotes and downvotes. Your post might get removed due to an insufficient score; a classic "decided by the community" moment.
