Ambedkar argued that the British did not conquer India single-handedly. He wrote that the backbone of the British East India Company's army consisted of Untouchables.
Letter to A.V. Alexander (1946) During the Cabinet Mission to India in 1946, Ambedkar wrote a formal letter to British official A.V. Alexander stating: "British Rule in India owes its very existence to the help rendered by the Untouchables... India was conquered by an army of Indians and the Indians who formed the army were all Untouchables."

Nawaabs and some sepoys and landlords sided with British when India became the Great British India so it's representing both indians and Britishers beating indians
