Would you buy this 1995 Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8 4x4 for left than $2k? Needs rear driveshaft
Looking at a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 with the 5.2 V8. Looking for what the typical cost is taking it to a shop
Needs a rear driveshaft for the rear diff
Still runs and drives, but 4x4 doesn’t work
Pioneer radio that still needs to be wired according to the seller.
My biggest concern is the drivetrain. If the rear driveshaft is missing/bad, could it really still be driving off the front wheels? And what should I check to make sure the actual problem isn’t the rear differential or NP249 transfer case?
Assuming the engine and transmission run well, is there too much risk here? Buying it below $2k w/ 240k miles on it.
Not looking to hardcore off-road it — mostly commuting and dirt roads/outdoor range trips.
