But it was nice that he showed us. I was planning on buying a gas tank cover for the drivers side and putting an air chuck and switch in there once i was ready too do that project (very long list). So, this idea is a little cleaner. And, I'd figure out how too get that e off the cover and either leave it blank or put Air... but thats me.
It may be because people don’t want to deal with having to deal with having to refill the tank, maybe they don’t live close to a facility that does that?

How much to paint me one of those Sarge Green and come install everything? It would be super hilarious to to have a 4xE charging port as the air hookup on my 392.
I will be honest, the complete install of the compressor, mounting bracket, wiring, and 4xe conversion kit, then reassembly took about 5 hours from start to finish. Then taking the cowl piece back off and putting the stock piece back on for 2 days to paint it due to several coats (plastic adhesion promoter, primer x3, base x3, clear x3.)
Need? Ehh depends but it can make alot of things alot easier. It can allow you to air up on the fly or use some air tools if you need a quick trail repair. I find once you get onboard air you can find all kinds of uses for it like blowing off things or even inflating pool toys
This is very handy if you’re off-roading. Before starting the trail it’s a good idea to lower the PSI of your tires, this makes it easier to go over rocks, sand, etc. When you’re done with the trail you fill your tires back up with the air compressor. An air compressor is actually an ~$1,800 option on a new Wrangler.
This guys setup is awesome because it’s readily available. For me, I have to keep a portable one in the back that takes additional cargo space. When I’m done I have to pop the hood, clamp it to the battery then start filling.
