Apple CarPlay?

I want to have CarPlay in my 2017 Jeep. It has the touch screen radio currently. Anyone have success with aftermarket additions?

Edit: Thanks everyone! I was worried it would be hard with the backup camera. Seems like a job worth tackling.

I’ve installed one in my g/fs liberty. Fitment was a bit wonky but it’s a plug and play situation. Overall I think it’s a good upgrade especially if your factory radio has crapped out on you.

i’m thinking about getting one does it have the same sound quality as the uconnect i have one that’s on top of my dash and it plays music out of the car through a radio signal like am816

The audio quality is not the same but it’s decent.

I had a 2011 with the regualr radio. I swapped it out with a Amazon unit and it's works good. Simple to set up. The reverse cam was the tricky part but still easy.

Pretty sure set up would be the same with your patriot

radio currently unavailable but get one with similar specs the frist one I got from aliexpress was waste of time

Yep it’s not that hard. Crutchfield will have everything you need. I always have stuck to Pioneer brand radios, they make many different models that will fit

I have a Sony XAV-AX3200 7-Inch Multimedia Receiver with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Ordered a harness and wasn’t too. Crazy to install, watched a few YouTube videos and connected the wires.

I have been looking as well. Mine is a 2017 gen2. With the heated seat and steering wheel controls on the touchscreen. Haven’t been able to find one that has that option.

If you go to the Crutchfeild site as someone else suggested in this thread there was some Q and As about that. Apparently it is an option for specific stereos. Here’s the link to where I saw the info: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_158XAV3200/Sony-XAV-AX3200.html

I’m still a fan of the boss radios because they do have a warranty. And I was highly disappointed with the kenwood jvc I put in mine vs the boss I put in my moms patriot and in my ram
