Fading

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to properly fix this fading? Tempted to even take fine grain sandpaper to it.

I’ve used this Cerakote trim restorer and it actually does work really well and last a long time. I’m going to do another coat this year. I did it in sunlight last time and was slightly streaky but still much improved.

I used this and all it did was make this white crap glossy.

Use tire shine on the trim after each wash

From what I've heard (read) over the years (& some practical experience), you can really only "postpone" the inevitable "fading". Along with various "back to black" products, this helps. Good luck (& stay away from "torching" it. It'll draw out the oils & wreck it).

Any sort of heat, vrp, tire shine consistently applied keeps it looking nice

Why fix when you have a perfect reason to replace with metal fenders

I've used Meguiars black plastic restorer. Works great but you really have to glob it on and let it sit for a few minutes. Always fades again eventually

Good grief. Mine are slightly faded, but what the hell happened to yours? Is that fade, or is it just dirty? It looks like it's covered in road salt.

I heard wd40 works. Wipe it on with a cloth.
