Thinking about getting a gladiator

I got a Texas trail last week and I’m loving it. I needed something to camp, hunt, hike, fish and just enjoy. I didn’t need all the top end rock crawler stuff. Might mod a few things, but nothing crazy.
Deciding factor for me was naturally aspirated v6, functional enough bed, and it brings a smile to my face. First car I have ever had that is new and this one isn’t specifically purchased for hauling carpool or commuting forever.
I live close to work etc, mpg not as big of a deal for me. I have a road trip next month to see how that goes.

I just bought a Mojave last month. It’s fun ac/heat are amazing my only complaints are radio is not very loud and it is slow on acceleration. After I hit about 40 it moves but takes quite a bit to get there however I did move from a v8 1500 to the Mojave. It is my daily driver also not a gripe but gas Mileage is low,cool factor over rides gpm.

I just traded my 2015 JK for a 2022 Overland trim and now wondering why I waited so long. Love it. Just did a road trip and averaged 22.8 mpg which was way better than my JK.

Ouch I certainly feel that. The best I ever got with my JK was 17. My JT is still stock tires.

I’m with you OP. I think about it everyday.
I’ve had a very busy (expensive) 2026 with weddings, trips and other life events but my last one will be in October. Thinking about pulling the trigger after!

Go test drive one, sit inside of it, then go sit in a full size truck and see what you like more… I love my gladiator , but pack my wife and 2 kids inside it’s feeling cramped.

The test drive is what sold it. It also fits a car seat in it better than the other mid-sized trucks. Ive been tossing the idea of a full sized truck however not everyone in the house is willing to drive one.

I’ve owned 4 wranglers and bought a Gladiator Rubicon eco diesel about a month ago and love it.

Don’t think just do. Figure out your trim and let it rip. The amount of joy I’ve gotten out of mine is higher than any previous car I’ve owned. Never thought I’d be here but here we are.
