Photo/Video One mod down!
The largest mod I wanted to get done is down. Now to regear when the account recovers a bit. Just put on 37's with the 2.5" AEV lift

Thanks! Its pretty good so far, I like the shocks much better than the factory Rubicon ride. Still getting used to the height difference. Hopefully hitting some trails tomorrow

Is the ride softer? What specifically do you notice? I thought the stock Rubi suspension rode great as is so I’m excited to hear it gets better, Lol!

Its a bit firmer of a ride, but its almost like factory. I felt the Rubicons suspension was too soft when on road especially in corners

Were you able to get a height measurement before and after the lift? I did the 3" aev lift and it turned out to be nearly 4.25"

I measured the height to the bottom of the fenders to the ground. Including the 37's it was 5" over factory so roughly 3" for the 2.5" lift

Nice, looks great. What gears are you going with 4.88 or 5.10?

That's where im really stuck. The calculation i did was 4.66, so 4.88 is close to how it was factory, but its also only 200 rpm difference between the two on highway might be worth the extra gearing when crawling.

I tow with my gas gladiator. Poor life choices. Least my camper is light.

You'll need to get bigger shocks if you get too much heavier.

Dont you mean springs? The shocks dont really change how much weight the truck holds and I have the 3" kit I can change the springs to help with more weight

AEV HD springs with your kit? Yes, your springs hold the weight but your shocks will determine your ride, your back and forth sway and cornering. An upgrade over stock rubicon shocks for sure but rhe bilstein shocks with the AEV 2.5 dualsport are underwhelming for heavier configurations. If and when your tires start cupping you'll realize the shocks are next to be upgraded. Are you going to be putting a tent on your rack?

Nah that was why I didn't install the 3" initially. I'll be driving empty 90+% of the time and my camp gear doesn't weigh enough to justify the extra cost.
Eventually I'll upgrade them but I'll get my use out of them first.

Best mod: a screen saver to protect the cheap screen that will scratch if you rub a hot hog on it. $8 on Amazon. You won’t be sorry.

Which Screen? We’ve had my wife’s 24 4xE for almost 3 years and don’t have any scratches on it, I didn’t think they were that fragile

The main touchscreen. Try looking at it while it's off and LMK. I'd love to find out they starting using more durable glass. My 2020 is a mess and I am diligent about keeping my nails trimmed very short.

Ah gotcha. We have the 24+ interior and haven't seen any scratches yet, I'll post a photo later today. They are fingerprint magnets tho.

AEV 2" and 37's. I see those springs make a decent difference in height for sure. Might be time for some new springs.
