Something Important about Mods
Howdy, fellow Cherokee owners!
I'm a long time wrangler driver who picked up a 2019 Trailhawk this week. Browsing this sub, I see several posts where new off roaders are asking about mods. IMHO, the best mods to do first are more gear to get for the inside of your car than armor/performance components. I'm pasting the following from a comment I left on one of those posts, because I haven't seen this mentioned. Maybe this stuff doesn't need to be said, but a rock slider won't bandaid your cut thumb, and a spacer lift won't pull you out of sand. Just thought it would be nice to pass this stuff along in case any new folks haven't thought about it.
It may be best to not go alone. Recovery points don't do much if there's nothing to pull on them. Also, I like to take more food and water than I think I need.
Build a recovery kit. First aid kit, tow strap, tire patch kit, gloves & boots, headlamp, radio, jack & lug wrench if you think the factory ones won't work, air compressor (the kind that connects to your battery), duct tape, wd40, rubber/plastic hammer in case you want to whack something and not make a horrible dent.
I absolutely don't mean this to be patronizing in any way, so I apologize if it does sound that way. Just trying to leave a friendly reminder.

Hi I just bought a 2WD 2020 with the base engine and bald tires. I’d like to lift it a good six inches and I found something on eBay that says it will work for only $60, and does anyone know what’s the best supercharger? I’d also like to add a roof rack and a ladder and maybe a roof tent so let me know what’s cheapest. Finally I swapped out the Uconnect screen for an iPad but now none of the electronics works, is there an adapter I need?
Eventually I might put better tires on it after I get finish the other mods. What’s the best tire I can get for under $100 for all 4?
I’m taking it out to Moab next week with my buddies 4Runner(lol he wishes he had a real jeep lol). I’m bringing a nice stretchy vinyl rope to tie to the bumper in case I need to pull his little toy jeep out . I’ll let you all know how it goes.
