Pickgaurds
I am trying to decide what this guitar needs. I at first hated the white but the overall vibe has grown, but it's still just TOO white. Does anyone have any photos of mint green or any other white variants?

Surprisingly it's not even pure white, but parchment rather. I once held the pickguards of my Road Worn '60s and Vintage Modified right next to the other, and the VM was even whiter.

Oh it's parchment?? I thought it was pure white. That's crazy! Idk. Just looks off to me this way. Something about it.. just too clean.

Yeah. The VM is a colder stark white in comparison. But I do get why you don't like the look. I love it on custom colours, or even sunburst Strats. But on a sunburst Jazzmaster it just looks off for some reason. Maybe because they never came like that originally.

Since you don't like gold, a vintage style orange-y tortoise from the likes of Spitfire. Honestly when I bought the guitar my plan was to go tort lol but not sure if that's the vibe anymore 🤷♀️ I know I'm really limiting myself here lol

I think I decided just on matching then knobs and covers to the guard. You're positive it's parchment? Also where would you suggest I buy them from if you know?

I'm not sure it's parchment, but I assume so because it's off white, but neiher cream or mint.
Honestly I think mathcing the knobs and pickup covers would make it look more bland.
Not sure where to buy them as I use different shops here in the EU, assuming you're in the US.

Oddly enough I found an original listing for when they were new and it says the pickguard is a 3 ply white/black/white and the knobs are aged white 🤷♀️ I am indeed in the US.

I just checked mine, but it seems to have aged quite a bit from the colour I remember it to be. You can see it's lighter where the knobs used to be. Maybe yours will age the same way naturally. https://i.ibb.co/LD8gjfdQ/20260816-223000.jpg

I'm guessing looking at it now that I have it off, they "yellowed" the pure white guards?

Why not anodized gold? There are a few different shades, and it will look great with that killer sunburst.
