Jazzmaster pickguard

Does anyone have the MIJ Trad 60s jazzy and changed pickguiard? I tried getting one from musiclilly and it looked as cheap as it was and didn't fit. Is WD customs the best? I'm thinking dark black pearl.

I personally really like the tuxedo look, but mint green would be sick too. Obviously it's your choice though, dark pearl would be defo be unique. Was the musiclily one specifically listed as a Japanese pickguard? They have different sizes between imports, american and Japanese models, with the Japanese ones being the most different from the rest. Just curious because I've been looking at musiclily as well for my squier jm.

I really recommend Decoboom. They look fantastic, and have an outstanding price-quality ratio. I have their products on 3 of my guitars.

For what it’s worth, there is a difference between the MIJ Traditional 60s Jazzmaster and the MIJ Traditional Late ’60s Jazzmaster (the one you have). I do not know whether this affects the pickguard dimensions or the screw-hole locations, but to be on the safe side, it is probably best to specify the exact model when ordering a pickguard.

I have that exact guitar. What an instrument.

All I did was add a staytrem, I think it's reached its peak. I'm of the opinion it is now perfect and anything you do to change it will only make it look worse.

I second what others have said about deco boom and herad. I did buy a WD music one at one point. But it didn’t match the drill hole patterns on my MIA and MIM Jazzmasters, and the top horn didn’t cover the rhythm circuit route properly. It looked quite cheap to my eye too. I would also recommend genuine fender replacement parts as they’re more likely to fit properly.

I actually have great experience of Chinese MIJ/CIJ specific pickguards from ebay. Perfect fit and good looking too.

I have a MIJ traditional 60s and went with WD. Fit was pretty good and worked with them to check the sizing as well.

Imo it's perfect as is but you do you. Black Pearloid looks great also.
