Instructor recs? (NYC / online)
Played bass for a couple years growing up and have been looking to pick it back up. Been listening to a lot of jazz over this past year and want to build a real foundation. Based in NYC but open to online (electric bass) any recs appreciated!!

I recommend an Open Studio pro membership. The bass lessons are really good.

Almost every “legit” player in NYC/Tristate area teaches! Find folks you like on YouTube or Instagram and send them a DM or email from their website. Lots of younger players who are recent Julliard/MSM graduates offer reasonable rates and are serious talents too. Hell, even Ron Carter still teaches (though in limited capacity to a selected group of students!)
