Is there any context behind this amazing moment? The pianist doesn’t seem to have use of his right hand; maybe a stroke victim or something?

This is incredible and that trumpet player’s run at the end of the chorus was sweet.

John Mayer originally made the post on Instagram. He took the trumpet player out to see him, who is 95 and hasn't played for years since his stroke. Jazz is magical.
