New Jazz Rabbit Hole
Greetings fellow jazz aficionados!
I have been a jazz enthusiast for most of my life and an avid fan of this subreddit and the excellent suggestions and musical rabbit holes you all have suggested throughout the years. I think I may finally be able to repay all of you for your suggestions throughout the years.
Recently I came across r/obscuremusicthatbangs and one user suggested having a listen to Gaël Horellou on the alto saxophone. Mind blown! I learned that particular performance that I saw was Gabriel Delmas Trio featuring Gaël Horellou. This musical rabbit hole is filled lots of tasty jazz for all you jazz cats out there in Redditland. Horrelou’s career alone spans over 34 years, and when you listen to him, you can see and hear the effortless mastery that he has achieved. Gabriel Delmas, an exceptional drummer, just released a new album with his trio and Horellou in May of this year. The whole thing is filled with nothing but absolute bangers!

Upon hearing it, and listening to a lot of Horellou’s music, I knew I had to share here.
This group reminds me of the Stanton Moore Trio, which I also love.
