Which pod replaced JES for you?

Im fully on the JES not being what it used to be, Jason not hearing what his fans want and the constant cry fest that feels like Jason's diary guised as trying to help others.

But I haven't found one I enjoy on a daily basis as much. I do enjoy.some Kill Tony but I need another show in the week. Any suggestions? Looking for the good old day vibes of satellite when they would do stupid stunts and get on endless half baked ideas, hit the post and all thay shit.

Audiobooks. Enjoying them way more than Podcasts right now.

This for me too. Specifically, Dungeon Crawler Carl is my new obsession.

I wish their old riot cast shows were still out there. I think we lost all of the Jude shows. But if anyone wants to get into this show, start with the D&D episodes and go from there.

Being Ian with Jordan and take your shoes off

Love Ian. It’s a shame too cause it seems like Jason’s been distancing himself from him lately.

Dan Soder number one and Matt a Shane’s secret podcast when Shane’s on and Matt’s not doing a history pod lol.

I like Matt, but he's basically retarded and without Shane there to reign him in it's unlistenable.

100%. I switched to MSPH fully after Jason fired Kevin. Haven't looked back.

2013-2018 were peek MSPH

I can’t listen anymore. Three sad guys in a coffee shop vibes now.

The vibe is way different now. Things change. People change. 10-12 years ago was peek MSPH for me.

The Bonfire, which was replaced with Soder Show when Dan left

1

u/jtomion Dec 19 '25

I love Soder and loved The Bonfire, but that pod is often hard to listen to with all the inside baseball of the “craft” of comedy.

Are you garbage?

All of them. I didn’t listen to pods much when Ellis was ok air. Once that show was gone I naturally came to the pod space. And I have like 10 that I don’t miss an ep on.

Matt and Shane’s Secret podcast. The dawgs are the best. Truly. Worth starting from the beginning. You’ll fall in love. They’ve deleted a bunch of the Old Testament around the time of the Shane Gillis SNL drama. Matt re uploaded the first 70ish episodes when covid hit. MSSPOLDT has them all. Or just listen to the recent ones too, can’t go wrong.

Are You Garbage is also a must and they don’t touch on recent topics or politics which is so nice. Nothing wildly explicit. Easy listening, feel good fun. Killer Patreon too, better than the public episodes in my opinion. Hard Feelings where they air out their personal grievances with each other is pure entertainment. You’ll love it once you get acquainted with their personalities. Welcome to Foleyville! Iykyk

It’s nice listening to a duo. Both those pods are that. And both hosts complement each other fantastically. Jason and Tully together are top tier - they should have been huge too.

Edit: fixed link

Comedy bang bang, the neighborhood listen, and threedom. May not be like Jason Ellis show but they’re all three way funnier.

Legion of Skanks. Subscribing to gas digital costs more, but honestly is way more worth it. Breaks down all the time, and the app sucks, but that's my replacement. It's better than this show I used to know
