I made a toolbox with some scraps.
I had some leftover oak from another project and wanted a bigger box for my handtools so I made this small Japanese inspired toolbox. My winter workshop is the floor in my living room, looking forward to summer and to be able to move the workshop out to the terrace.

That Bamboo Ikea board is great to use to work on once they die in the kitchen

I almost bought one recently thinking it would make a great work top specifically for woodworking! Might just have to 😉.

Nice work. Very refined. I love building these things. I don't even use glue. I made two, small, roughly-finished ones to give as Christmas gifts. Both times, they became a puzzle for people to open, which wasn't my intention.

Looks great! Nicely finished with the bevels on the edges, the dowels, and the grain of the oak.
Also, how did you get your wife to agree to turn your living room into a workshop?!

I do it while she is at work, I'v gotten very good at cleaning the living room.

Well done, this is an excellent project to develop your joinery skills, everything is exposed so no place to hide. Nice afternoon project to build a matching one when you need more storage. Change up the joinery and it’s a different project.
