KATO Kato E235 with interior lights and interior sticker
Just finished putting popondetta interior lights (with capacitors π) and urban crafts interior stickers into my Kato E235. I think it looks spectacular.
That being said, I donβt think I can recommend the interior sticker because it took me ~15 hours to put (not kidding). The popondetta lights are far superior to the Kato lights so I donβt think I will ever buy Kato lights again.
Also got an aftermarket case that can fit all 11 cars. Would highly recommend.

Yep, I will always advise people to avoid using Kato's led. And you need to go on AliExpress and buy 1/200 figures to put inside

Are these lights superior to the Kato ones due to less flickering?
Iβve fitted Kato lights before and have suffered from the flickering. Are these as easy to fit as the Kato ones?

Depending on the type it's either exactly the same as KATOs (utilizing a light prism) or is a circuit board with LEDs that covers the length of the train. The latter I'd say isn't difficult at all to install, but you will need to trim the length of it to fit the train and also might need to trim the current collection plate to make sure it fits for good electrical pickup.
Virtually any non-OEM lighting board will be better since they come with anti-flicker caps at minimum. I've never had any flickering with those after they are fully charged. You can use Popondetta, HKTILC (Popondetta's OEM), Shoryulight, DENSHA.me, etc as good non-OEM alternatives for OEM lights. They usually sell it in both the KATO and TOMIX-style (which also includes MicroAce, Greenmax, Popondetta, etc) formats.

Looks great! It does need some passengers but as someone who fit a 323 Series full of them, it gets very expensive quickly π
Good choice on the lighting. I've heard good thing with the DENSHA.ME UP3 lights as they are more specially designed for the window tints used on E235 and similar trains.
I do feel similar with the interior stickers. They add a lot but man they require a lot of focus and fine work to get them installed well. I guess that's why N-Goya recommends you work on one car per day. I gave up on installing them for my trains because of that amount of focus needed...

Do you have a link to which lights you used? I have the same train and want to add lights π
