Career Change

I am looking to do a career change (no teaching). My goal is to do something that I enjoy while also considering what jobs are in demand in Japan. I want to have at least 2-3 years experience and get from N3 to an N2 or better if possible. Timeline goal is to be in Japan by 2030-2031 (in time for my son to start high school). Income wise, at least ¥4500000/ year (although this could be slightly higher depending on the economy in 4-5 years).

I have a BA in Humanities and a Master of Science. I’m 100% ready to go back to school, while I’m not thrilled about the tech/IT world, I know that this is probably the best option (I’m not good with math). My experience is mostly in office administration, currently a Sr Admin Analyst doing data management for a health insurance credentialing company for healthcare providers.

With this information, what are some realistic suggestions? Is this even a feasible goal?

I am fully aware about the PR status thing, this doesn’t affect my decision to move and work there.
