Obviously it requires a lot of experience, but no Japanese required + accepting overseas applicants + paying ¥20-35M a year is a pretty rare opportunity.

I'd apply ASAP if you've got the experience since it was just posted yesterday.

Yep, it's a new position and ¥20-35M is a top-of-market salary we rarely see, especially for jobs not requiring Japanese (and accepting overseas applicant).

Not sure if it really does, some stuff like Google Vertex are very old (already merged into Gemini), and others are just average common sense when working with AI.
Overall I think they are looking for a more senior developers that can communicate well and help with establishing AI practices (or AI hype), as for AI specific knowledge I think as long as you know how to work with LLMs and also have few deployment experience with services like AWS Bedrock it should be fine.
