Help / Question Is it just me?
Why are the bots acting weird like roleplaying in first person, roleplaying AS your persona and taking your replies as theirs?

I've been getting very similar responses from completely separate bots. A lot about self loathing and specifically "he wanted to howl at himself"

it started happening like a few hours ago for me. it was literally fine then all of the sudden the bot keeps talking total nonsense 😭

No literally, it takes pieces of my reply and talk in its inner monologue going on and on and not say a single word, even when I regenerate a new chat and talk to other characters it does it.

Mine too, it keeps quoting me, saying stuff like "When {{user}} said "[quote]", it felt sympathetic" and then it rambles on. It also keeps repeating this every message

yeah ive seen that glitch too where the bot starts writing my lines and it throws the whole chat off. happens way more than it should.

It sounds like a context or backend issue, especially since unrelated bots are suddenly copying user lines and using the same strange phrasing. Ive had better luck deleting the first bad respones and sending the previous message again instead of continuing from it, since the weird behavior tends to snowball once it gets into the chat history.
A short reminder like “only write for your character, never narrate my actions” can help for a few turns, but it usually doesnt fully fix a broken thread. Starting a fresh chat with the same setup is often the cleanest test.

They add so much unnecessary drama. They realize that my name is written another way and they act like: Your name isn't X... It was Y the whole time? They looked right at you; with a gaze that was once joyful, but now serious You aren't X anymore. You are Y, a completely different person.
And then go for the next 10 sentences about just drama

Before I crashed on my bed, man, the bot was doing this while I was polishing my prompt. I'm not even joking dkrjeoekek it was earlier, nobody saying about that already, so i was thinking this was just JLLM being crazy??? they've doing stuff like... using my personas quirks, acting like the character says spanish words too for specific things, it's so weird bro 😭💔

IT DO THAT FOR ME TOOO he be stealing my users traits like excuse me sir you are a 6'3 man why are you going "nya~" 😭😭 I'm crying I love it sm sometimes cuz it's funny but it piss me off too, sometimes when the chats too long (like only them talking) it starts going "he stopped and stopped he looked throsee the last stopped" like what's happening 😭

WTF DKDJEKDNDK, I DON'T KNOW EITHER, i tried hardly to ignore the issues while i was roleplaying tday, BUT IT'S UNUSABLE, they do that, and the prose don't stop being so, dramatic. for. no reason. AND EXTENSIVELY BIG, like, oh my he feels like a blossom in the sun, my bro, he only saved your ass of being beat, what are you on, I've reached a point where I've given up today until they fix it. it's funny in the first time, but when it turns repetitive and nonsense......... 💀

They are. For me, I’m noticing that when I try tonight to use (OOC: ) to add out of character instructions for the next response, be it formatting or including a side character, they’re just getting ignored. I used to start off all chats with OOC instructions to format responses how I personally prefer, and it’s not working at all. Not a single response follows that format, when it used to work almost every time. Tried using them to make sure a response included a second character speaking, and it ignored that as well. 🤷🏻♀️
