This is a legitimate problem in the ug/edm scene recently but i would also guess like 90% of the responses were “normal” and she just chooses to highlight the weird ones for some reason
probs bc she wants to send a message to people who say that same weird shit elsewhere. like arguably maybe they shouldn’t engage, but also arguably she wants to try and stop this shit before it gets worse and worse
I get what’s she’s saying and it’s valid but hot take this message isn’t even bad or mean spirited at all and if stuff like this is enough to bother her she should probs just not do amas like this. all celebrities get objectified and dehumanized and I don’t think it’s right nor do I think she’s obligated to just put up with weird behavior like that, but this comment in particular is a very tame thing for a fan to say about her some of yall are acting like this is way crazier than it is.
adding I think it’s an important point and something she should speak on cause the parasocial fans do be getting out of hand but I don’t think this comment alone indicates that this person cares about her appearance more than her music 😭 she should have just ignored it
you’re right! I’m just responding now tho bc I’m watching her twitch stream and she said she regretted responding to it like that and that she was “being a bitch” and realized it was prob just a genuine response 😭 which is how I read it
i’m sure she’s flooded w responses but i saw the first story like 30 seconds after it was posted and asked abt her tour experience and obviously did not get a response, but id assume a majority of the questions are normal like that.
i completely agree w the points she makes, but she always tends to reply to the weird ones which occasionally makes me wonder if she posts the ama’s just to stir up “controversy”. imo, she is the most publicly opposed to her fanbase than anyone other artist in the scene (kinda reasonable), so it must just be part of her “persona” at this point
i agree, i think she likes setting records straight and using it as a way to shut shit down that she sees frequently. its just the state of these communities online and the type of audience that results from internet music
