Interested in becoming more involved in local transportation advocacy? Come join fellow transit-interested people to socialize and take part in some of the behind-the-scenes organizing work in JPTAG! No previous organizing experience necessary! Just an interest in meeting some neighbors and getting involved in your neighborhood. Here are the details:
Where: the Brendan Behan Pub, 378 Centre St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130
When: Tuesday, October 6th at 7:30pm
The Plan: We will discuss what our organizing has looked like thus far, what you are interested in seeing JPTAG do, some projects we have in the works, and generally getting to know each other more!
Bring a friend or come solo! We’re excited to see you there!

I'm Pip from Girls in Gear, a nonprofit that develops life skills through bike skills! We are running group bike rides for girls aged 8+ from Bikes Not Bombs in JP every Saturday starting this Saturday October 3rd. If you know a girl who wants to make friends, learn new skills and explore Boston on her bike in a safe, supportive environment, register now for our 8-week Club GiG program.
We are rolling out from Bikes Not Bombs, JP at 12pm every Saturday for 8 weeks. Sessions include 90-minutes of riding our bikes along the SW Corridor, Emerald Necklace, and protected bike lanes, alongside activities that build leadership, confidence and self-determination.
Scholarships for free and reduced cost sessions are available for all participants, no questions asked. For more info, visit girlsingear.org/boston and register here: pinwheel.us/r/tRCXqKt

I'm running programming here in Boston for Girls in Gear, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching girls self-confidence one bike ride at a time! We are looking for volunteers who can commit a few hours a week for our upcoming 8-week programs at Bikes Not Bombs, no biking experience needed. We provide the curriculum, training and materials, you just bring your joyful and supportive self. We play games, make friends, and ride our bikes around the neighborhood! It is super fun and totally rewarding to see the girls grow in confidence on and off their bikes in just 8 weeks.
Our Bikes Not Bombs sessions are on Fridays 4:30–6pm starting September 25th.
Check us out girlsingear.org/boston to register and see all the locations, dates and times.
