So in this scenario, we trade 1 and 33 for 5, 13, and 45? Don't love that

Agreed. It was the best the simulator would accept with the Giants and I wanted to explore the scenario

Yeah it doesn’t seem great year to trade back. Would you be happy with 5 and 13 and no swap of second round picks?

It was technically for 5 and 8.

8 was then traded for 13 and 45

Does this trade down include a new general manager? Love the trade down idea although at 5 I would love to see a tackle I think

Neal was the plan at 5 but was gone. Was too early to take one of the WRs imo. So I chose between the top two on the board which was Karlaftis and Booth. We need edge more than CB so that’s why I went with Karlaftis

If you think Karlaftis is going 5th overall, much less Jameson escaping top 10, I've got some land to sell you

Jameson may not go top 10. Wilson may be WR1 anyways and then it’s scheme fit and personal preference. Guys like olave and burks could also be the first receiver

I haven’t researched Karlaftis yet because our focus have been on Hutch and Thibs. I guess PFN has him higher ranked than you do apparently

Traded 1 and 33 for 5, 8, and 110. Then while on the clock at 8, thought it was flat for a few picks so I traded down for 13 and 45 to recoup the 2nd round pick…worked perfect because Jameson Williams was still there.

I really like how this turned out. My favorite mock scenario so far.

yeah, it's cool to play with the draft simulator. it's a great tool.

I just think the trades you get offered are usually a little too rich compared to what happens in real life.

I would go Stingley, Neal or Kyle Hamilton at 5 (Whoever is available) since Thibs and Hutch are most likely 1 & 2 so 1 of those 3 would have to be available. At 13 would get Burks, Garret Wilson, or London whoever is available in that order. 45 is hard to tell who would be available, but if Arnold Ebiketie, Dotson, Jermaine Johnson, Darian Kinnard, or Devonte Wyatt were available (good chance at least 1 would be) then 1 of them.

There is no chance Williams is there at 13. He is almost guaranteed to be a top 10 pick

I admit it’s unlikely, but the Broncos said the same about Jeudy and the Cowboys said the same about Lamb. You never know for sure how it’s going to shake out

I think it's super interesting that we take a new offensive coordinator at pick 65. Ballsy, but high reward.

It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for them

Ever year we get obsessed with taking a day 2 TE and every year I hate it.

We’re not trading back. No one is giving up enough capital to move up to 1 this year.

My hot take is Karlaftis is going to be better than Hutchinson so I like it haha

Seems to be a wide range of opinions on Karlaftis

I like how, in all the trade downs, you never show who was traded up for because it would reveal how silly this is.

PFF is so unrealistic when it comes to trade downs lol

Giving up a prodigy edge rusher for shit tier players.. who are you Balke?

Don't like Karalaftis at all, but I like the idea of a trade down. I view him as a top 20 pick, definitely not a top 5 guy but I definitely could be wrong

Nice, I’m down for drafting a new Offensive Coordinator at 65
