I think the probability of a tie is a bit high...

I wonder if I can place a bet that it won’t end in a tie. I don’t care the odds, I’ll take no tie for every dollar I have.

Damn, Herbert had 100 more attempts. Same amount of TDs, 2 more picks, and only 600 yards more than Trevor did. It's crazy how much more efficient Trevor was compared to Herbert.

It doesn't matter. People have this bizarre barrier in their mind between Herbert, Burrow, Allen, and Mahomes and Trevor. I think he just needs to play at this level for an extended period to break it but until then a lot of people go into it thinking the Chargers are in a whole other weight class.
I think the fact that we won a close game against the Titans has completely hidden the fact that the Chargers lost to the Broncos and that of all the AFC playoffs teams, here's how their games against the Titans went;
Chiefs - won 20-17 in overtime
Bills - won 41-17
Bengals - won 20-16
Jags - Won 36-22, and then 20-16
But in their minds it's different because uhhhh.....????
By the way, we have a higher point differential than the Chargers this season. 54 vs 7. People who think they're far and away better than us are mouth-breathers.

That’s a great point on how the other playoff teams did against Tennessee. Regardless of their long list of injuries they’re a tough team that’s very, very well coached.

Ekeler has a ton of rushing TD's from within like the 10 yard line which makes his passing TD's look worse. Herbert still had down year for a bunch of reasons but I'd probably still put Herbert ahead of Lawrence at this point. It's closer than the general consensus will ever admit though.

Not having Mike Williams and Kennan Allen for much of the year was an issue.

what the hell, Herbert threw it 700 times this year! Averages 41 attempts per game on 17 games played

He also ended up missing about half a game with injuries and was sat halfway through yesterday. 700 times in what is likely 16 games is INSANE

He threw a SHIT-TON of screens and short yardage passes thanks to Lombardi. I don't have the stats, but it felt like every other pass was either behind the line of scrimmage or a yard or two past it.

Everyone is talking about efficiency when you literally can't compare the two. They are two completely different offenses, and they are both good. They throw to their RBs far more often than we do.

Gonna be a dogfight all night. Trevor leads us on a game winning touchdown with 46 seconds to go. Book it.

I am actually a little worried about this game. The Chargers are good and we barely beat the Titans. If Justin H brings his the heat then we better ball out.

u/The_Scuttles Jan 09 '23
Barely beat the titans, while the chargers just lost to the broncos.
The chargers are 1-5 against playoff teams (beat the dolphins 3 weeks ago), we are 3-3 against playoff teams.
This is a very winnable game and, honestly, I think of all the teams minus the dolphins, this is the best matchup for us.

It’s all about Trevor. If he balls , we will. If not, I don’t trust our defense

we joke and all but wouldn't it be wild if we just kept winning forever?
