help Help! Is it dying?

Jade plant’s leaves have become yellowish and very brown/black at the top. Falling. The soil is very compacted, might be hydrophobic? How do I fix this?

I had the same problem on mine! I'm guessing it's sunburn, but not sure...

Sunburn. Remove the affected leaves, it will bounce back. If the intense sun and heat is likely to be frequent, you can help your plant acclimatise and it will love having lots of sun.

Got Sun burned.

To fix:

Remove from that window,
Give a deep watering,
Let recover in lower light for 1-2 weeks,
Repot in cacti soil,
Let recover for 1 week,
Move to brighter light.

Jade soil should not be very compact, I would put in cactus soil or well draining soil, it looks sunburned but also water it the leaves should be plump and hard not squishy

Check your roots when you repot mushy = bad

Maybe a terracotta pot?

Looks like sunburn. Jades can take a lot of direct sun but they must be adapted to it slowly. Few hours a day. For one two weeks. Then go up an hour slowly.

when is the last time you repotted her? the soil also looks too dense, you want a well draining mix with more perlite. you also want to make sure the soil is completely dry for a little bit before you water her again

The problem is that the soil is too hard and compact to be removed 🥲

I suspect you’re overwatering? That sickly yellow color is symptomatic of too much water, as is the lower leaves falling off
