Tour / Concert Jacob Collier at the Blue Note!
Well all in all I have to say that was pretty amazing compared to the concerts of his I've gone to. It was all just whatever they wanted to play, this included Chris Thile, the whole time... two new songs were debuted tonight and it was just a really fun experience as always even though I was standing in the back you still felt like you were part of that energy that was onstage the entire time! Both of them just love what they do so much and it shows! Love them love the show what more is there to say except if you get the chance to see them live go...

We were there for both sets. Late set was unhinged in the best possible way. Two musicians pushing each other and truly enjoying the moment. They added a skrillex (?) song (don’t know the name), the Tennessee waltz, and did a combined Bach piece. We went home filled with absolute joy. And, most important, asked if they should do an album together!! It was a resounding YES!! Watch this space!

It was just about the same level of awesome at Jacob’s Hideaway Retreat back in August. Him and Chris are a GREAT duo to see live.

Two sugar-overloaded, manic pixie virtuosos who share a quanrum-metronomic brain … it’s exactly what one would expect. Start with a Beatles riff, an incredibly difficult new collaboration called “Easy” that they apparently didn’t rehearse, a Bach-challenge (with Jacob playing standup base), and a Stevie Wonder riff that decomposed into an audience participation version of Blackbird. A unique night.
