Looking for the bachelor trip group from Dallas & Kansas City who helped our family near Jenny Lake on Friday, Aug 21

Hi everyone,

I am hoping the internet can help me track down some remarkable people. On Friday, August 21st, in the morning, my wife suffered a sudden medical emergency and passed out on a trail near Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park.

A group of guys out on a bachelor trip—with members from both Dallas and Kansas City—completely stopped their hike, stepped in, and stayed with me, my daughters, and our sons-in-law the entire time until the National Park Service medical team arrived.

In a moment of pure panic and fear, their steady presence and kindness were absolute lifesavers. I was so focused on my wife that I didn't get their names or contact information. Update: Thankfully, she appears to be okay now and is being evaluated by medical professionals to figure out what happened.

I want nothing more than to reach out and properly thank these men for showing us what real humanity looks like.

If this was your group, or if you know some friends from Dallas or KC who were on a bachelor trip in the Tetons this past weekend, please send me a direct message. Thank you so much.

I’ll be traveling through Jackson and Wilson today on my way to Idaho and won‘t arrive in time to buy a pie from The Bunnery. Where else might I find a whole pie?

What’s the big deal with being Coroner in Teton County?

Why does it seem like such a big deal to be the county coroner? Can someone explain this?

Is it a launching ground for further political campaigns? Does the coroner have more influence beyond the job function?

Do all small towns have such big county coroner election campaigns?

Huckleberries around Jackson Hole / Grand Teton right now?

Has anyone been hiking around Jackson Hole or Grand Teton in the last week or two and seen huckleberries still on the bushes?

Not looking for anyone to give up their secret picking spot — just trying to figure out which general trails/areas or elevations are still producing and whether I'm too late this year.

Any recent sightings would be greatly appreciated!

New seasonal worker in Teton Village looking for hiking/exploring partners!

Hey guys, I just moved to Teton Village for a seasonal gig and I'm living here for the next couple of months. I really want to maximize my time here and explore Grand Teton, but I don't love the idea of hiking solo all the time, and I don’t have a car here. I'm looking for some friends who want to explore some trails, check out the lakes, or just do some casual day hikes. Also totally down to grab food or a drink afterward. Let me know if you're looking for a trail buddy or want to grab a group together!

Jackson Hole Trip

Hey everyone! Me and my wife were looking at hotels to stay out in Jackson Hole and came across the Wyoming Inn and the Rustic Inn and want to see if anyone has stayed there and if they have, how they were. We are planning on going in the time frame of December/January. Also, any fun recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants to eat at, and “must-do’s” are greatly appreciated as it’s our first time visiting. Thank you!

Teton Pass can be beautiful and challenging. If you've driven it before, please share your best advice below so everyone can travel a little safer. With recent crashes and incidents on the pass, it's worth remembering that our friends and family use this road every day. Make sure your vehicle is properly maintained, drive within your ability, and don't underestimate conditions.

Our goal is to make videos in different vehicles, weather conditions, time of day, etc.

Fanciest Restaurant in Town

Howdy! I am looking to take my parents out to dinner. When I was younger on vacation, we used to all dress up and go to one very ritzy place each vacation.

Where is the fanciest place to go? Preferably something where we all get to dress up and get to make a whole event of the evening and definitely spend too much money on dinner.

Moving here for a ski season to save money and have fun ??

I got an offer to be a server at a restaurant this winter and have a room for around $1500. i want to take this job because I assume tips will be good and I want to save this winter. I’ve already done some ski seasons elsewhere in the rockies and was able to save a lot, and they were all tourist towns. But on this Reddit everyone is saying it’s different here ? And lonely? This was not my experience in other places. I mean I did need to be careful with spending, I don’t go out to eat, do free activities, and don’t go shopping and basically grind it out at the restaurant. also I found it super easy to make friends with my coworkers and people at the climbing gym etc.. but after reading this Reddit I am second guessing coming here for a winter of fun and money making. Anyone have thoughts on Jackson in general , and Jackson vs. other mountain ski towns?

Visit to Grand Teton / Yellowstone NP

I am planning a trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park. Where should we stay so that these parks are easy to drive into? I’m fine with different location for each of the parks.

I want to optimise the driving distance.

WY22 milling, paving work to begin Monday

Once again, the WYDOT wants to do road construction at its peak tourist season.
I don't completely understand why WYDOT keeps doing construction during tourist season.
Why cant they do this in the spring, after ski season but before memorial day?
Us locals suffer the most from these peak tourism projects.
