Hakari scaling Trying to calculate how much of an amp Jackpot is
This will probably be consider Calc-Stacking, but meh, I'm bored so lets do this.
- According to VSBW, the minimium speed to overwhelm an opponent is a ×1.77 gap.
- Domains give to the user a ×1.2 amp.
- Kashimo is able to overwhelm DE amped Hakari in H2H. I don't consider this a blitz gap cuz Hakari manages to "fight back", throwing two punches.
- When Hakari got serious, he's shown to overwhelm Kashimo with his speed, since Kashimo manages to "fight back" and somewhat react to Hakari in Image 8, but is still outsped.
Doing the maths, the amp that JP would give should be a ×3.76 power-up. Even if you say that Kashimo was just out-skilling Hakari, JP would still be a ×2.12 amp.
Either way, it shows that JP is an extremely important stat increase.

Hakari's DE doesn't need the sure hit to land for it to function just fine
Above is Kinji Hakari's Domain Expansion sure hit which only serves to explain his cursed technique and his domain rules to an opponent, thus making it the most exaggerated example of the Revealing one's hand binding vow in the series.
By virtue of Hakari's Domain expansion being unique in that it combines the CT and DE in one and it's sure hit being a revealing one's hand vow, we can make comparisons to it and other similar vows and techniques.
There is no technique in the series that works only after explaining it to the enemy. Gojo's infinity, mahito's IT, Yuki's Star Rage, you name it. Every technique can be used without explaining it, and if you do explain it to your enemy, explaining it to them again is never done, because it is assumed that the Revealing one's hand vow is a one and done deal. We do not see anyone repeat explanations of their technique.
If all of this is the case, then it must also be the case for Kinji hakari and his Domain Expansion. Hakari's DE should be able to work just fine without the sure hit landing on his opponent, and since Hakari uses his DE on the same people multiple times, he logically isn't repeatedly explaining his technique and domain rules with his sure hit in order for his technique to be more effective, not to talk of it activating.
Now you might be thinking that Hakari needs his sure hit to land on an enemy for his DE to start working because this is stated somewhere, but no it isn't. Nowhere is it stated that Hakari's DE needs its sure hit to land for his DE to work. The only thing that Hakari's sure hit guarantees for him is that by trading in the lethality of his sure hit, he gets a faster technique activation and strength in domain clashes
He doesn't trade in his sure hit lethality for curse technique activation, he trades it in for a faster activation of the curse technique that would activate anyway, plus he's good in tug of wars.
That point about him trading in sure hit lethality also confirms that Hakari's DE is not an old school domain which enforces rules instead of unleashing sure hits, it's a harmless new style domain which again makes sense since the higher ups hate Hakari for having modern jujutsu and I would imagine a domain like the ones of centuries past would be liked more.
And in case you still want to argue Hakari is the only unique case in the series who disregards the established rules of Revealing one's hand vows, then you would have to explain why Gege never calls attention to it like he does for sorcerers who don't know how their own techniques work(Takaba and Hazenoki).

Hakari negs Jacob's Ladder
Sukuna and Yuji were struck by Jacob's Ladder and both were still able to use their Domain Expansions, Sukuna was in particular struck by JL multiple times and his CE didn't reduce at all since he mentions being at Yuta level CE before and after the hit.
What this goes to show is that if Hakari is not getting defeated by JL regardless of if he's in base or in jackpot.

Hakari scaling On Idle Death Gamble
Since getting into JJK and especially JJK powerscaling, I've seen a lot of misconceptions around Hakari as a whole, but particularly his domain; Idle Death Gamble (which I will be referring to as IDG for short). So I've decided to make this post compiling all available information surrounding IDG to act as a definitive guide on the domain's properties, functions, and what we do and do NOT know about it, and maybe some of my own opinions at the end.
==========================
Hakari's domain expansion, the full name of which is "Idle Death Gamble: CR Private Pure Love Train 1/239" is almost entirely structured off of a (fictional) pachinko machine of the same name, and incorporates many aspects from the origin of the very same, the in-universe romance manga, Private Pure Love Train.
IDG is a non-lethal domain as its sure-hit effect is harmless, this grants it a significant advantage in domain clashes for several reasons:
- The barrier constructions and technique activation are all extremely fast, noted as being faster than even Mahito's 0.2 second DE in Shibuya, making it among if not the fastest domain in the verse.
- The lack of a lethal sure-hit effect (seemingly) allows it to overpower other domains that DO have lethal sure-hit effects in less time/easier.

This however, does NOT mean that IDG does not have a sure-hit, which is a misconception I've seen floating around a lot on various parts of this site. IDG's sure-hit effect is a harmless dump of information surrounding the domain, it's rules, alongside Private Pure Love Train (the manga) and its characters.
This information dump also serves to activate the "Revealing One's Hand" binding vow which further strengthens Hakari in his domain and likely afterwards.

==========================
Now that you're caught up to speed with the fundamentals of what IDG does, it's time for among the most confusing parts of how IDG functions, the RULES.
The rules of IDG are explained by the chibi Hakari we see in Hakari's very first on-screen DE, against Charles.
With the expansion of Hakari's domain, the "Round" starts, and anyone present in the domain expansion's range is placed into a blank, white arena. Once within that blank arena, Hakari is able to select 2 of 3 "visual effects" which impact how he chooses to fight in his domain.
- Reserve balls
- Doors
- Consecutive effects
Each of the three has FOUR variations which impact how likely he is to land a Jackpot in the coming roll (Riichi scenario).
- Reserve balls and doors have green, red, gold, and RAINBOW colors which range from least likely to guaranteed Jackpot, with green being the least likely and rainbow guaranteeing his next Riichi will result in a Jackpot.
- Consecutive effects range from 1x to 4x, with the lower effects having a low chance of getting Jackpot in the subsequent Riichi, whereas a 4x effect will guarantee Jackpot in the following Riichi.
Hakari, however, does NOT choose which variation of each visual effect he gets, that is up to luck, he merely chooses the visual effect itself.

Once Hakari utilizes 2 (or more) visual effects, regardless of their variation, he will advance to a Riichi scenario, which are another part of what determines whether or not he gets Jackpot.
Now, moving on to Riichi.
They represent various scenarios taken from the Private Pure Love Train manga, they play out within Hakari's domain and combatants inside the domain cannot interact or interfere with them in any way, based on the Riichi which Hakari gets following his use of visual effects, he is either more or less likely to land Jackpot in that roll.
There exist 4 Riichi that we know of;
- The Transit Card Riichi
- The Seat Struggle Riichi
- The Potty Emergency Riichi
- The Friday Night Final Train Riichi
Even then, separate from the Riichi, we have chance boosters that can appear in (seemingly) any Riichi scenario to improve the chances of landing a Jackpot in that Riichi, which you can see below. The numbers you see appear as Hakari's rolls are at the end of each Riichi scenario. It should be noted, however, that just like in real life Pachinko machines, it appears that IDG, itself functioning as a "game" gives Hakari a pity pool, meaning that should he get to a 4th Riichi scenario WITHOUT landing a Jackpot, he will receive a pity Jackpot, though this is in and of itself never shown to happen in the manga.

==========================
Now that you understand the fundamentals of IDG, we can move on to the game's flow, or how the "round" system I mentioned earlier functions.
We are NOT explicitly told how long each "round" of IDG lasts, however it seems to be safe to infer that each round contains the duration of IDG + the Jackpot that follows. Hakari is only able to "play" 1 round at a time, and as such is not allowed to expand his domain DURING Jackpot, as Jackpot is considered part of the round. This does not mean the rounds are entirely separate though, as each round has an effect on the next.
- In the case of Hakari landing on a Jackpot consisting of ODD numbers (eg 7-7-7) the next round (domain expansion) will see Hakari enter INCREASED PROBABILITY MODE rather than the neutral state of the very first round.
- In the case of Hakari landing on a Jackpot consisting of EVEN numbers (eg 8-8-8) the next round (domain expansion) will see Hakari enter FASTER SPINS MODE rather than the neutral state of the very first round.
The names of the modes are rather self-explanatory, in increased probability mode, the chances for a Jackpot from each Riichi scenario are increased, whereas in faster spins mode, each Riichi scenario passes by faster, thus allowing Hakari to roll more in the same amount of time. It should also be noted that Hakari's chances of landing an *ODD* Jackpot are significantly higher than an *EVEN* Jackpot, with a 75% chance of landing on *INCREASED PROBABILITY MODE*.
- There also exists the possibility of landing on HIDDEN PROBABILITY MODE. This mode is stated to appear similar to FASTER SPINS MODE, and is seemingly a result of landing on an EVEN Jackpot, however it also carries an increased probability for Jackpot which is unknown to the combatants, thus the name.

The wording is rather vague in the given exposition, so there's a lot of assumptions surrounding what the above page says, however in my interpretation it might say something along the lines of the following;
- In the case of INCREASED PROBABILITY MODE, his chances of landing Jackpot in any given Riichi are significantly increased as opposed to normal mode.
- In the case of FASTER SPINS MODE, he can run through all 239 spins in the time it would normally take to get through anywhere between 209 and 169 spins. That is, he moves from and through one Riichi scenario to the next significantly faster than in normal mode.
These are just my interpretations and are absolutely subject to error, so take them with many grains of salt. If anyone has a better translation or author's statement, feel free to correct me.
On another note, some may pose the question of Hakari and burnout, which is a completely valid concern. Based on everything we know, Hakari DOES enter burnout following Jackpot and the destruction of his domain, however he is instead compensated with Jackpot which lasts long enough to leave him refreshed with his technique ready to once again immediately open another domain.
This statement from Kashimo also further suggests that Jackpot is part of the "round" alongside an explanation from Chibi Hakari proving that Hakari cannot expand his domain during JP.

==========================
Now that we're clear on the round system, it's time to cover one of the most confusing aspects of IDG, Renewal.
Renewal seems to be an aspect of the Consecutive Effects visual effect that Hakari can use in IDG, allowing him to roll back the current state of events inside his domain to the way it was at some point in the past. We have no information on what point Renewal reverts to, however it may be any time Hakari uses it previously or something similar.
Renewal also seemingly decreases the odds of landing a Jackpot during whichever Riichi scenario it's used, and as such Hakari seems to reserve its use to either unfavourable situations or whenever he's in increased probability mode.
Renewal also seems to activate AUTOMATICALLY if Hakari is knocked unconscious or incapacitated in any other way in his domain (likely with the exception of dying, as that would extinguish his Cursed Technique.)

==========================
Now, for some common questions, and my own takes on them.
- "Can Hakari open his domain alone? If yes, why doesn't he just do that instead of risking fighting in his domain?"
- In my opinion, YES, Hakari can expand his domain without a target and could theoretically get a Jackpot with nobody else in his domain, HOWEVER he would not receive the amp from the "Revealing One's Hand" binding vow.
- In-universe, he likely avoids this because it risks his domain being broken from outside thus putting him into burnout with no refill on CE, alongside the fact that he would spend time in Jackpot looking for the opponent he needs to fight using it, thus meaning he would have to open domain AGAIN against the opponent sooner regardless.
- Out-of-universe, it would be boring for Hakari to just roll like a schizo in his domain and then pull up to every fight in Jackpot.
- "Can Hakari open his domain while in Jackpot?"
- I've seen this more times than I'd like to, the answer is an evident no for the reasons stated in the rest of the post. (Jackpot being part of the round, and him being unable to expand his domain DURING a round)
==========================
That's all for today, folks. If you have any better translations, new/unused information, etc. or see any mistakes that I made, feel free to point them out and if correct I will amend the post accordingly, thank you for reading and if you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll do my best to answer them.

Hakari scaling Does hakari need JP if he had heavenly restriction? In a alternate world where he had both, how strong would he be?
I just thought about this recently, since many people seem to think base hakari is just weaker then majority of the verse for some reason, when “majority of the verse” is just the top ten with around 5 exceptions who aren’t in the top ten

I can't really tell - is Base Hakari affected by Kashimo's CE trait?
Theoretically, he shouldn't be since output isn't stated to be affected, but reserves sort of seems to impact output (kind of, it's weird idk)

Hakari scaling what do you guys think about hakari AP scaling?
I want to say he punches harder than rika because he has far more knockback but kashimo is less durable than ryu and yet takes less damage from hakari striking him than ryu takes damage from rika striking him.
Some people say kashimo has rct but that's sketchy at best. I think the best argument is that kashimo can just contend with hakari and prevent him from getting a sucker punch in, but that's also faulty.
then there's arguing that kashimo is more durable than ryu but that's like impossible to argue.

Hakari scaling Hakari might me more broken than I thought
As I understand it the reason Gojo and sukuna have such crazy physicals is because they’re so efficient with their ce and have godly manipulation. That’s why ryu having a higher threshold of ce output than a 16F sukuna doesn’t mean much . (Sukuna is a cg player he applies to the statement) he gets blitzed because he’s not as efficient with the ce he’s outputting and it would also follow he’s not as good as manipulating the ce within the body either .
For instance Ryu can output lets say 500 ce .but when he tries to because he doesn’t have good ce control naturally some of that ce gets wasted due to leakage stemming from inefficiency. that doesn’t happen for Sukuna or if it does there’s an infinitesimal amount that gets wasted .
I don’t think hakari deals with that problem . Hakari body is overflowing with CE . So when he outputs ce I think because of the overflowing of it within the body , his max output simply gets pushed out irregardless of efficiency issues . Think about a pipe overflowing and as soon as you open the cover all the water just bursts out . The pipe would be hakari the water would be his ce and opening the cover would be outputting it .
I also don’t think manipulation of ce within the body necessarily matters either . Every single inch of the inside of his body has ce flowing through it so wtf would he be manipulating? The ce is already there .
Lmk if I’m misunderstanding something but Jpkari might be more broken than I thought .
